Right. Go look at the numbers closer. An SEC championship would definitely make it close.

...and Penn State better look out for Michigan State. Besides, we are definitely jumping them after the conference title game.

That gap is too much for LSU to overtake Miami. LSU's two remaining regular season opponents (Arkansas & Ole Miss) are much worse than Miami's (Georgia Tech & Virginia), so a victory over Georgia isn't enough to overtake a Miami victory over Florida State. Even if Miami & LSU would flip in the computer rankings it would leave them .03 behind.
 
Another thing, guys: Please don't make me out as a Miami hater. I cheer for them very loudly when they play FSU or Florida.

In fact, they are probably my third favorite team behind LSU (no one comes close to them), then Tennessee.

I like the Canes.

And another thing, this debate is moot, because LSU and Miami are probably going to play each other in the Sugar Bowl.

We'll see who's better then.

Dont worry I like LSU alot, my sister lived down there a few years ago and brought me back a superbowl towel, and the people of Nawlins were good to her, the Tigers are probably the college team id root for if not for the awesome Canes :cool: and i dont consider USC going for a 3-peat, LSU was the 03 champs in my book, hopefully there will be a LSU Miami nat championship game sometime soon that would be awesome :D

On a side note, my tickets for that game were delivered today, and I will be making the trek up to Oxford this weekend. I can't wait.

they're playing gatech in primetime with the horrible off-color jerseys at home, so i think they'll be up for it
 
I'm gonna be at the game against Ga. Tech. Are they going to wear those crappy green throwbacks like they did against UNC? God those were awful. It was like watching ND playing in their greens.
 
nah they'll wear the ones with the different shoulder color. not any less horrible, but the players like it apparently
