what is with this dude? when he gets tackled it looks like he just ran into a brick wall and just collapses, its kinda amusing, anybody else notice how weird it is when he gets tackled?

Just a couple of big hits he actually runs with good power.

inexperience i guess. he needs to work on hsi vision, he has a sick second effort. if he works on his vision, he might become a really good RB.

Hilliard is a very tough and shifty runner (sometimes gets tackled easily but in space he's pretty good).

Plus, didn't he get like 100 yards receiving?

edit: 9 catches for 74 yards 1 TD. Not bad to me.

I like Hilliard generally. But I agree with the OP.

Wasn't he supposed to be a backup FB? How can a guy big enough to be a FB bounce backwards when a DB hits him?

he runs with a lot of effort and always tries to jump/fall forward when he does this he is susceptible.

He runs with power, but runs very up right....Those two make for some interesting landings.

vision isn't something you can necessarily teach... the great one's come with it... you either have great vision... or you play specials! VERY DISAPPOINTED in Hilliard. but then again... very disappointed with most of this team. top to bottom.

He's not graceful when he's hit, but right now he is the hardest player on Miami's offense to bring down - much harder than RW. Unless RW gets a 7-8 yard head of steam he goes down on light contact these days. I'm as worried about the future at RB at this point as I am WR.

hilliard is our future dont hate. ronnie wasnt bursting through much his rookie season. remember his tippy toe year.

Trust me guys, Lex is just starting to get his stride. Give him a bit more time to get use to the speed of the NFL and I bet he will really turn some heads. Today he was starting to look like he did when he played for Montana and that was awesome. Just wait, you won't be anything but impressed.
He and Carpenter played at the same time at Montana

I thought that Lex's improvement was one of the few real positives coming out of the game. I was not expecting him to be as adept at catching the ball. He looked like he is good enough to make it in the NFL. Not bad for a 7th round pick out of Montana who was fighting to make the 53 man roster at the end of training camp.
