Laundry Question and Superstitions

Alright so I bought my aqua Jake Long Jersey right before the Rams game, and since then we've gone 5-0...
I haven't washed it yet, and its really dirty.. I don't beleive in superstitions normally, but i find it hard to wash the jersey since we are 5-0...
What do I do? There are Beer splashes and BBQ sauce stains, i figure they will be permanent stains since theyve been there for 5+weeks...

If i wash it and we lose I'm going to feel responsible...

Someone convince me to keep it dirty for a few more weeks.

Imagine if we make the SuperBowl... That will be like 2-3 months of never washing the jersey, thats just gross...
WHat do I do?
 
this is why i never get into washing superstitions. during the past 12 weeks or so i have worn the same undershirt, jersey, pants, and shoes. i was them every week.

however, you ****ed up. your in the cycle. like crash davis said, if you give in now, the team might lose.

dont you ****ing do that to us!
 
I have a little marino jersey throwback (the original I wore when I was 7) that I put on my dog during gamedays. If I ever walk him before the game, he takes a leak on the jersey. So I ussually wait to walk him until after the game (we're undefeated when he pees on the jersey after the game). Well anyways, he peed on the jersey right before half time, and the Jets scored 10 unanswered points. I was able to hand wash the jersey, put it in the dryer, and put it back on my dog. Once I got the jersey back on him, the Jets didn't score again.

Now would be a good time to throw off all your superstitions. The Dolphins will perform how they are going to perform regardless of anything you do.

The reason people are superstitious about things like this, is because it helps them feel like they have some measure of control over something they really don't have any control over.

So, wash the jersey dude. It's dirty.
 
u see wat i do for my gators games is wear the same outfit i wash it everytime but i still wear the same outfit and they still win so do wat u gotta do buddy
 
I am currently holding your washing machine hostage.

It may appear to still be in the same place.
It may appear to still function properly.

But I warn you, if you attempt to wash that jersey ... You will never see your washing machine again.
 
the same here i told my mother that dont took my hat to the laundry i have it like 3 months without washing it
 
DON'T wash the jersey my Jake Long has been worn all year and have had the same Fins T-shirt underneath since the Seattle game. I wore a long sleeve Phins shirt under them both on Sunday and took it off right before kick off. It didn't feel right! Thank God is was warm out on Sunday in the swamp!

This is true but people love thinking it...I do! My buddy shaved his beard into 70s pornstar stache for the playoffs....it is amazing! LETS GO FINS!
 
btw its weird but these superstitions r real. i decided that i was going to wear my zach thomas jersey that i had since i was 11 years old starting the day of the dolphins bills game at dolphins stadium, and i wore it every game till the pats game on nov 23rd bc i misplaced it the week before and couldnt find it[ ya i no i take full responsibility for the pats loss week 12, thankfully it didnt cost us in the end] and since then i have worn my new joey porter jersey starting the day of the rams game and we have won each game. so basically just tough it out till feb 1st , and after we win the superbowl, u can wash it all u want.
 
Wear a Dolphins T-shirt under it. (Psst you wont be able to wash it either)
 
Don't wash it but regardless of what you "say" you do, we will know for real come Sunday.

If we win, you should be given an end of year award.

If we should lose, you ought be banned for life because we will all know that you washed that damn Jersey!

If you hand wash only the stains, then we will go into overtime but depending on how many new stains before the end of the 4th quarter, we will either win or lose.

the decision is ultimately yours to make but beware of the consequences...
