I just want to say sorry to all the fans, the Miami Dolphins, to everyone,” Timmons said, via Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald. “Happy to be back here. Sorry to the organization. I’m just happy to be a Miami Dolphin. I just want to play football and be the best I can.”
That was the extent of the information he shared about the situation, though he used the word “happy” 19 times to express how happy he was to be back. He added: “I don’t want to be a distraction,” because as we all know, distractions are the worst things football players can be.

Yea, I saw the interview, and the man seems to be in "Written statement" mode, he better show more passion on game day for Miami, then he showed at that interview.

I'm sorry the whole thing is still just bazaar and has an element of nuclear meltdown to me. It doesn't matter what rumor you choose to believe the underlying reasoning is the issue. I can't help but wonder if the man is even stable at this point.

Yeah definitely doesn't scream "stability", but neither did Lawrence Taylor. If he can show up moderately lucid and avoid screwing the team over again, then welcome back.

It is what it is. He probably doesn't want to be here, and the powers that be probably wish that he wasn't here, but decisions were made and now everyone's stuck with each other.

I just think it's funny that there's so much drama around a team that's going to be lucky to finish at 8-8. And as the seasons pass since 2003-- when the franchise drove off a cliff-- I feel more sorry for the kids who are growing up in this era of Dolphins' football: two good seasons coupled with underwhelming playoff performances, along with far too many wasted years and disappointments. (At this point, there's nobody born after about 1995 or so who can say they were watching when the Dolphins last won a playoff game; there are fans in their junior years of college that are still waiting for that first playoff win.)

Maybe it’s you don’t want to be here, go audition for someone and let us get something for you on the way out.

I could give a flying **** whether he's sincere or not.

What I care about is that he realizes what a reputation red flag he created and either he (or his agent) understands that he needs to come back and perform to the best of his abilities if he wants a reasonably-compensated future in the league.

Anyone expecting big thing from him this Sunday might get a big let down. This will be his first game and of course we'll be facing the best offense we've seen so far this year so for anyone to think that he's going to make such a big difference is just dreaming. Moving forward he might help and the defense might get better but this Sunday could be ugly. The one thing we can do is run the football and keep the ball as much as possible. We can't get in a shootout with them. We're going to have to control the football which remains to be seen if we can do it with our O-line.

Ozzy rules!!

Yeah definitely doesn't scream "stability", but neither did Lawrence Taylor. If he can show up moderately lucid and avoid screwing the team over again, then welcome back.
But L.Taylor brought it each and every game day coked up or not. Hope our LT has that dog in him.

I don't believe anything this guy is spinning. He's here to "JUST" collect a paycheck. His heart is someplace else, and the statement he made, reads like a 12 year old child. This is not the end of the B.S. Miami guaranteed $11m, so it's, easy money and money in the bank for him. And potentially another black eye on Tannenbaums resume'. The Pittsburgh curse lives on!!!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he's cut this offseason and Miami goes out and signs zach brown to replace him to a multi year deal.

Still sounds like he doesn't care. I'm sure he cares...about the millions he would have kept losing because he missed his Steelers. That's a traitor to me but at this point who cares. I'll take Vladimir Putin if he can stop an easy drag route!! Regardless, I'm glad he's back. We need him and I think last week woke the coaches up..quickly!!
