Timmons, an OLB from Florida State, announced his intentions to enter the NFL draft per ESPN.

Scott Wright of NFL Draft Countdown says that Timmons will now be his number two OLB in his rankings.

With a solid combine, he might be worth a look.

i dont know guys about this one if we were to draft a Lb from FSU it shouLd be buster davis the MLB he is a stud and tries to knock you out every hit. he pLays with the kind of intensity and force that we need on this team. i know that he is prob a first or second round pick but if we get anyone from fsu it shouLd be buster davis

Timmons>Davis

Timmons is an absolute beast.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO stay at fsu 1 more year. i was really shocked he declared, hes a beast and has a ton of potential but this was his first year starting and it wasnt like he was an all american, he just had a solid year. he shouldve stayed and tried to become the number 1 linebacker taken

This is his first year starting because he was playing behind Ernie Sims. Just because he wasn't an All-American doesn't mean much in the NFL. Timmons played the strong side OLB for FSU and finished 2nd on the team in tackles and first with 18 tackles for loss.
Don't get me wrong, I think he should have stayed one more year but I don't know all the circumstances surrounding his situation.

omg this guy is a monster!! we have to pick him! undersized? are you kidding me? this guy will be a top 15 pick after the combine, he is a perfect 3-4 lb!!! sux that he is leaving fsu he would have been the best lb in the country next year!

i know who he played behind ive been an fsu fan all my life and go there now. i know a little bit about the football team and i just think that he would have benefited by staying another year. his measurables are of the scales but being second in the team in tackles isnt everything, our defense has been hurt all year, no1 else couldve had as many really except maybe hayes who i really like.

For a strong side LB to finish 2nd in tackles says alot about the kind of player he is. He usually lines up over the TE and has to fight off that block to make plays, which he usually did the second half of the season. His 18 tackles for loss is nothing short of amazing given how much FSU rotates their players.

I would really like to get Timmons in Miami but it really depends on where we are picking. At 10 were we are now it is a bit early as he is more in the 15-20 range. Though he is a little light he has very good size and I think he can be a very good SOLB in both the 4-3 and 3-4. He is really a perfect fit for our defense.
