Lawsuit seeks compensation for Rams for Super Bowl loss

It's just the tip of the iceberg for those cheating Pats.

Yeah, heres some more discouraging information for Pats fans. It was just reported on NFL Live at midnight that the Patriots taped the Steelers four games against them and one of them was the Championship game.

what a ****ing idiot. I don't know how this guy figures that the pats cheating in the super bowl is worth 100 million to him. what a dip****. btw, here's his player page if anybody wants to see it. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/5853/

Better yet is I'd like to know how he intends to prove it in a court of law. I've seen so many wild alligations in the past few weeks its a laugh. This is what happens when case is tried in the press only in a court you have to actually have to have proof.

Whether or not this ever goes before a judge is really beside the point. What this does is keep the whole thing alive. As long as there are allegations and insinuations it continues to be an embarrassment to the NFL and Robert Kraft in particular. The problem for you is that since it's not going away soon, someone is going to be named to take the fall. Just my own opinion, but I wouldn't be expecting your "genius" coach back next year.

Well Belichick has been forthcoming with the league in this investigation. Now Roger is a different story. I suspect those tapes and notes might have had evidence of other teams doing the same...there's a reason Roger destroyed them so fast. Who knows maybe Specter will really open the league up and expose all those cheaters. I wouldn't be surprised to see Shula's name come up either.

:rolleyes2:

Awful lot of smoke rolling out in this for anyone to think the Pats are simply some victim of unfounded rumors. You'll all play that card though.

Funny how all the great teams prior to this never had some "crazy accusations made out of jealousy" made against them.

Where theres smoke there's fire and theres a mushroom cloud rolling out of Beantown now!

It's a "perfect" storm!

Your'e getting confused....

Shula's name has already come up in this.

He's one of the only ones that had the stones to suggest you should be held accountable for YOUR cheating.

In addition, I love it how the story changes.

First you're adamant the Pats did nothing wrong and now its.....

Well were not the only ones!

You know theres something to this so now it's Diversion time! CLASSIC!

Neither you nor I can say who has or hasn't been forthcoming. As for other teams?....well, no kidding. As you stated, that would seem to be Goodell's motivation for destroying those tapes so fast. The threat of the whole league being exposed is going to compel them to find a sacrificial lamb. The one person who can be pointed to who we know cheated is Belichick. Should this happen, he's going to be between a rock and a hard place. He's not going to want to go quietly. He's going to want to blow the whistle on the rest of the league. However, most likely, he's (also) signed a non-disclosure agreement. So it would remain to be seen if someone like Specter would have enough interest in what Belichick might have to say to offer him the same immunity as Walsh is being offered. Or would seeing Belichick as the scapegoat be enough? Otherwise Belichick is open to a lawsuit.
Regardless, I understand you want to lash out at me; and that's why you threw Shula's name out there. However, no one is going to be interested in someone who isn't active. Personally, I'm more concerned that Parcells' name might be put out there. Even so, the focus is on the Pats, Robert Kraft (and his relationship with Goodell) and most prominently-Belichick.

He has more then enough proof to prove that the Patriots conducted illegal activity which assisted in their narrow victory over the Rams in the Super Bowl. I expect that this will snow ball and turn into a mass class action law suit, for example I just heard on NFL Network that they have unconfirmed reports of about 17 other current and former NFL players whom are posturing to sue the Patriots, Kraft, & Belicheat. Also the Philadelphia Eagles organization is thinking on suing on behalf of the entire team.

This is going to be very big, and make the MLB steroid scandal seem like a parking ticket.

You see they have the testimony of NFL Commissioner Robert Goodell to US Senator Arlen Spector that yes, the New England Patriots have cheated consistently in every game since Bill Bilicheat took over.

That kind of testimony is gold to the prosecution, and also if Goodell refuses to testify then he will be found in contempt of congress and go to jail for 5 years and share a cell with the "rocket".

The Patriots and their cheating ways are done, I would expect Bilicheat to be fired very soon. He has forever ruined their dynasty and has turned the Patriots into the biggest fraud in the history of pro sports.

Well you're not exactly correct in your assesment of why I mentioned shula but I'm not surprised.

Enjoy

Listed under the header Signals From Johnson

"When I came into the NFL, back in '89, I talked to a Kansas City scout and he said, 'Here's what we do, we videotape the opposing team's signals and then we synch it up with the game film.' So I did it."
Johnson admitted it was "borderline" but he ended up stopping because he didn't think the team got much out of it. He then spoke of other rules clubs pushed to the limit.
"When I went to the Dolphins and they talked about how you're supposed to have a 15-second cutoff [in communication] to your quarterback, but here is what we do [to circumvent that]," Johnson said. "They said they've always done this. So I said, 'OK, let's go ahead and do it.' Then the league said, 'Hey, we hear you're doing that, so don't do it anymore.'

"They said they've always done this" Now if I'm not mistaken JJ was brought in to replace Shula. From JJ's comments it seems Mr Perfect isn't so squeaky clean either. I wonder how many others JJ can implicate? He certainly has shed some light on cheating and how long its been going on...I know you don't want to admit it but its been league wide for years. I also wonder what Belichick can tell us with regards to Parcells?

The tapes were destroyed as a favor to your owner who was one of the primary players in getting goodell his job. Your team will be the nfl version of the chicago black sox when this is done. Actually you already are. And Shula didnt ned to cheat. he actually knew how to coach

Sorry, in my other post it was my intention to convey my agreement on this very thing. Of course it's been going on for a long time. And of course, most teams have been "going to the edge". Regardless, Belichick is the face of this scandal and if a fall guy is required-he's the most likely candidate. That is probably the only thing that will prevent ALL of the covers being pulled off of this thing.

It doesnt matter if other teams did it. Unless you can prove that EVERY team did it, they will have to go down hard. If tapes come out the Rams SuperBowl title will have to be stripped. Its amazing but the fans of all 31 other teams want to see these guys go down hard. The PR pressure will force the league to strip the ring or rings. Its funny. all year they were talking about how they're going to make history and acting like it was predestined. Well they were right, they're going to be the only team to be ever stripped of their title or titles  How's that for a legacy?
