Fasano is a better Tight end than people give him credit.

I can't stand people placing all the blame on henne's first interception this pre season game on Fasano. People are quick to back up henne for making a few mistakes in his first game. but then you go an crusify Fasano for one play.

That was an Awful pass, As a starting NFL qb you have to make a more accurate pass than what he threw. You simply can't throw a 7 yard bullet completely behind a tight end. Sure tight ends have become increasingly athletic but asking a 255 pound guy running full speed to spin 180 deg, around and catch a pass going that fast is a lot to ask. I'd be willing to bet a lot that his QB coach ripped him for that.

Point is I like Fasano, he is a good blocker on the line and an excellent downfield blocker. I hated seeing posts endlessly bashing him after one play that was an increadibly hard catch.

Ball gets thrown in front of Fasano. Leads him straight into collision..... "how can he do that to his receiver"

Fasano is a glorified blocker. And when a ball hits you straight on both hands... its your fault. Plain and Simple.

If the ball hits your hands, you are expected to make the catch. The ball, in fact, hit him in both hands, and he then dropped it right into Atlanta's lap. Im not one to crucify a player for one play either, but dont try to put it all on Henne. You yourself even said "Sure tight ends have become increasingly athletic but asking a 255 pound guy running full speed to spin 180 deg, around and catch a pass going that fast is a lot to ask." Perhaps we should make it a priority to find ourselves a TE that CAN make those catches?

Fasano must have a problem with the Falcons uniforms. If you recall, he fumbled twice in that stadium on opening day 2 seasons ago.

Watch the play again, the lb jams him and ruins the timing and he admitted as much. Not a great throw but it should have been caught.

It's not Henne's fault and Fasano has one of the best drop rates in the NFL as a TE. Drops less than 5% of catchable passes. Fasano made a rare mistake, no one is to blame. Neither should be heavily criticized for it.

Chad Henne obviously sucks, but that throw was right on the money. He didn't throw it behind him, and he didn't lead him, which was a good thing since it would of resulted in Fasano being placed on IR... Fasano dropped the ball. So no, I will not lay off him.

You sound like you would be Fasanos dad or something. It was 100% Fasanos fault. I saw the replay like 6 times and it hit Fasano in the chest right above the 0. If he was any good he would have caught it with his hands instead of letting it bounce off his chest. It was not a tough catch at all and is made by every other TE in the league

stop throwin your qb under the bus and i will. shut yur yap and catch the damn ball!

It was definitely Fasanos fault but as one poster previously said it was a rare drop from him. Don't get too worked up over it. It's just a preseason game folks!

i believe if you can get a finger on the ball your supposed to catch it
though i will say some qb's know if the gun it too hard that it is less likely to be caught..
depends ...

im sick of people saying it was an awful throw. this was fasanos fault. im not worked up over it, it was no big deal its preseason, but anyone who has ever played football or is halfway athletic will tell you he should have caught that. but again its preseason, who cares. there was probably 5 ints last year that werent hennes fault where the receivers botched the catch. its happens.

LEAVE FASANO ALONE!!!!!!
