Look guys I am as critical of players as anyone but let's get off of Ted Ginn's back.

Yes he has dropped some passes and maybe he will never be a true #1 but get off of the guy a little bit.

All of you who are Dolfans lets support our team rather than bash it. I am sick and tired of everyone bashing this player and that player.

Yeah at times I probably do it myself but not like this.

This much I can tell you. If Ted Ginn would go out this week and have a game like last year against Buffalo where he had 170+ yards everyone would be on here immediately saying that Ted Ginn has arrived or is finally showing his potential or whatever.

I guess what I am trying to say is this - Dolfans support our team in a positive manner once and let's set a positive trend toward the team. Remember confidence can play a huge role in players performance and when all our players are seeing is negative crap it is not going to help them with their confidence.

I do think that Henne will help Ginn in his stat line by the end of the year as they will connect on some long passes.

One other thing to keep in mind!!!!

Ted Ginn does not have to catch the ball to have an impact on the field. Just by him being on the field opposing teams have to respect the deep pass which means keeping a safety back in coverage which in turn opens up running lanes.

Thanks for your time and GO PHINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's a difference between bashing a guy and holding a guy accountable. I'm holding the guy accountable. It's not Ginn's fault he was drafted with the 9th overall pick. He'll never live up to the spot in which he was drafted....but I will still hold him accountable for what he does on the football field. You have 11 catches or whatever for 100+ yards or whatever...great. You look good on my fantasy team, Ted. But you'd better catch the balls that matter and not just the 1st and 10 passes in the first quarter. Catch the game winning touchdowns big boy. This is the NFL.

Bingo..
You want to talk about clutch?
If O.J. McDuffie had Ted Ginn's speed,he would have been one of
the all time greatist.

I agree he has dropped a couple of passes that he should of caught. But lots of receivers do and great ones at that.

Randy Moss - Terrell Owens - Braylon Edwards - Chris Chambers - Brandon Marshall

All but 1 of those (Chambers) is a #1 receiver. Heck Edwards and Owens are among the league leaders is drops each year but everyone considers them bonafide #1 guys. And I am sure most people would love to see any of those guys on our team. Granted they have made some huge plays at times too but Ginn hasn't had that many balls thrown his way.

I truly believe this statement I am about to make.

Ginn needs to be thrown the ball more often to keep his mind in the game. Just like a RB needs carries to establish a rythme, a WR can be the same way. It isn't always just a turn on the light switch kind of deal. When all you do is block block block and then 3 times a game get a ball thrown your way it is hard to establish a rythme. Look what Ginn was good with the exception of the drops in the Indy game and he was targeted often. If we keep him in the game it will benefit him.

I totally agree with the statement. OJ is one of my all time favorite dolphins. The guy was a player.

By the way, we have Cam Cameron to thank for letting Welker go to the Patriots. I am reminded of that every Sunday. Glad that worked out for us. Satele is one heck of a player oh wait he isn't here anymore! LOL!

Ginn is a huge BUST, we'll be looking to replace him as soon as possible. No doubt about that

Bust only because he was selected #9. That is on Cam Cameron not Ted Ginn! It isn't Ginn's fault that Cameron was a dumbarse!

Let me guess though, you would have rather had the other Bust - Brady Quinn! He is panning out real well in Cleveland!

Cmon!
its kind of hard not to be on his case. He deserves it so far. Only 1 YAC and dropped passes make you an easy target. Whether you were drafted 9th, or not drafted at all THATS YOUR JOB! CATCH THE BALL AND RUN! DAMNIT! :hump:

I'd much rather have Brady Quinn. QB is EVERYTHING in the NFL. Look at Mark Sanchez, Matt Ryan, and Jor Flacco. Their teams are set for 10 years because they took a gamble and went after a QB. And here we are still piddling around changing QB's twice a year. A QB will absolutely change the direction of your team. Look at Cleveland in general. That team from top to bottom is a DUMPSTER FIRE. Quinn isn't responsible for the failures suffered by that franchise. He could be a different story in Miami. He certainly has all of the physical tools.

I also believe that Ted Ginn will catch fire a little bit with a quarterback that can get him the ball deep. If you watch all the games, Ginn has beaten his man deep a couple of times each game but the Dolphins have been unable to take advantage of it. Of course, he did drop the one in the end zone against the Colts and that was disappointing (a great play by Pennington). But, the point is that he beat his man deep at a time when the secondary was playing for the deep ball. That's saying something. I don't know if Ginn will ever become a number one receiver. I would say he probably won't, but I think he can still be a weapon in the offense and once Ginn and Henne get on the same page we will see some success in the deep game.
