Lazor and Shanahan were interviewed today

Still think its weird to not get a GM first so he can have input on OC. Maybe that's the norm. Do Head coaches usually exclusively pick the OC with no GM input?

As far as I know, the head coach generally hires his staff at his own discretion although I would imagine the owner ultimately approves their salary.

Why would the HC need the GMs input? The HC is the one making up the schemes and plays to tailor fit it to how he wants his offense or defense to be run. The GM is usually the one who picks the groceries so I don't see the need to have a GM when searching for an OC.

I think the only time the GM would need to be in place first is if there was no HC in set yet.

Kyle Shanahan excites me about as much as a root canal with no numbing!

I didn't realize that the Redskins had the #9 ranked offense last year but the D was 30th which explains their record.

Redskins fans hated him. They liked his playcalling just about as much as we liked Shermans.

hope so
I thought so as well. But I also thought Lazor had as well. Lazor and Gamble might come as a package!

Sherman wanted to be 'uptempo' too. I love how the Redskins played with Cousins at the helm the last few weeks. Adaptability and creativity is what I want to see.
Judging how Cousins made that team look, and how RG3 looked last year when he was healthy and his head wasn't a hot mess like it was this season.
I guess I'm saying that Shanahan got a bad rap because of RG3's meltdown and was exonerated by Cousins. You know he gets O-line play, as his Dad was the master of zone-blocking running attack, and could influence our draft and FA recruitment process.
I'm intrigued about KS.

I'm a Lazor fan. I'd like to see him or McAdoo get the job.

Shanahan was terrible in Wash, Philbin cant be that dumb........Oh wait, he hired Sherman.

Shanahan runs spread, knows read option, runs system that would best suit tannehill. Downfall- not hurry up

Because Shanahan and Pioli are far and away my most abhorrent options, I'm expecting these to happen.

Not making a case just for Shanahan but for his failings in Washington he was a good OC under Kubiak. Is that because of Kubiak? No clue. But my understanding is Kubiak lets his OCs call plays but his more hands on
