Beside the horrific 4th and 1 call, the play calling on the last two plays costs us the game. If you are going to pass on second down and stop the clock, then you need to go for the jugular and throw on 3rd down. If you want to bleed to the clock then RUN ON BOTH DOWNS! Pick a strategy. Throwing and stopping the clock on second, then capitulating the drive and running on third could not have been more moronic. Green Bay should never of gotten the ball back.

I said the exact same thing as they were punting. If you are just trying to run clock then you run on second down. If you are trying to get a first down then you throw on the 3rd down play. That was as piss poor a job of game management in the last 3 minutes as I have seen in the league. We coached ourselves right out of a win.

Philbin played it safe. If you are playing against a less explosive offense, that would be the right strategy. Against Rodgers, it is a mistake. That is on Philbin.
On some of the other questionable plays, RT had the ball and the options. He choose poorly in the first half. That bubble screen early in the game for example.
The QB scramble was open in the first half and he handed off when GB was stacking the box.
We do run pistol plays...right?
When he finally grew his nuts at halftime, he took the scramble and it ignited the offense. If he would have done that earlier, it is a different ball game.
Would have, could have, should have.
Philbin has the biggest inpact in this loss at crucial moments.
From not taking the FG in the first half when it was 7-3, to calling time out at the end of the game when GB was in 4th and long...it is evident that Philbin cost us the game.

We're always out coached!!!! Play not to lose doesn't work and sends wrong message to your players.

If you want to play it safe then run it BOTH TIMES. If you are throwing on 2nd down then you have to throw on 3rd. Just horrible, horrible game management.

I don't understand the 4th & Goal call in the first quarter.

I say take the 3. I understand you got a big return on the kickoff and you want something to show for it.

I guess I'm ok with going for it there, but I don't understand the goal line shotgun call. Doesn't make much sense.

In that situation, I'm going power O. Something jumbo. I don't know. I'm not going shotgun there. Poor play call but Tannehill also needs to read the defense pre-snap and check out of that.

It's Philbin's call to play conservative there and give it back to Rodgers. (Don't agree that going for it on 4th & 1 was a bad call though, that was just piss poor execution to not get a few yards on 4 attempts).

If anything Lazor deserves praise for getting that offense to put points on the board. Lazor created opportunities for Tannehill to make easy passes, and kept the defense honest against the run game with the option calls (they didn't respect Tannehill's arm). Tannehill made two good plays, but most of those drives were successful because Lazor took any advantage he could get from the limited performers he is was working with. I don't agree with everything he does, but Lazor is one of the few members of this team that I think has done well on a weekly basis.

Thays 3 games this year ive had issue with third down playcalling

Last drive was a head scratcher. Either kill the clock or go for it. Seemed pretty stupid to me. Rodgers only needs about a minute or so to take it down the field. Philbin knew this and he should have clued Lazor into this two Mondays ago.

I couldn't agree more. Why the **** didn't we run on every play with three minutes left. Wtf

At the same time I'm sure Lazer knows he can't totally open the play book because tannehill can't throw deep for sh! T

And running when they were playing the run, played right into their hands. Jeez, Philbin should know what Rodgers can do, he coached him, another missed strategy advantage by our beloved leader, dude seriously sux.

Philbin ordered them to pass it on 2nd down. So all of you guys are wrong.
