Lazor hiring doesn't make top 10

Well of course that must mean the author of the article is a nobody who has no credibility, and if we can find just one instance in the past in which he's been wrong, well then it'll surely prove that point of view beyond a shadow of a doubt. ;)

How does one get credible when it comes to giving his opinion on hirings that happened in December and January?

Good Lord, most everyone on that list is a serious retread. I will take Lazor and be very happy whether the move made that Bozo's top ten or not.

Retreads or guys who have a history in the league at their positions already. Translation: Banks doesn't really give a whole lot of new information because it's hard to judge coordinators who are relatively new at their position.

He mentions McAdoo who was to be considered a nepotism hire if he joined Miami since he was from Green Bay. So what can ya do?

Lazor is a nobody right now. His name is unknown. If he does well here, that won't be true in the future. All the others in the article are better-known.

You never know how or who is going to work out in these situations. There is no sure fire hires and all have a fairly even possibility of success.

If you look at this years Superbowl coaches....they have been fired a total of 3 different times in the NFL. Pete Carroll was fired with the Jets and Patriots and John Fox was fired by the Panthers. Given the right culture, players, finances etc.....they both are successful in their current situations. You never know how this will work....and neither does the author of this article.

lets see what happens!

Better known doesn't mean better than. Articles like these are pointless when all that is being compared are guys that have been in the league a long time.

I wonder if you would have been saying that if Miami got him.

I didnt know who the hell he was before his name popped up this offseason so you can bet your *** I would. Look at my posts regarding the GM's . Im on record as basically stating all of them had alot to be desired. I laughed when we hired Hickie. Ill laugh even harder if his first draft pick is an Ireland type head scratcher. Truth be told this team has been a huge joke to me since week 16 of the regular season. Only around to make me laugh.

McAdoo is on the list because he went to a NY team. The rest are all names everyone should know.

It's a list mixed with D coordinators too, so that's why. But I don't put much stock in SI. Remember when they overhyped Miami? It's just a bunch of names.

I love the Lazor hire. He'll bring knowledge of a variety of schemes, and is fresh off Chip Kelly's boat. Besides, it's the best we could do based on what we already have in place, which is Joe Philbin. Philbin wants to run his offense, not Kubiak's offense or anyone else's. McAdoo would have been the other good fit.
