Lazy Saban
I back up Nick Saban as a Miami Dolphins Head Coach... But anybody thinks he is a little lazy.... I mean last season 6 wins after being 3-7...to fell 1 game short of a playoff spot...
then just watch this season...bad start.... in games like jets last sunday....we pick up in 2nd half but felt short...does anybody feel we did have a good real chance to beat the patriots??? and we screw up....
So i said a reaction will come this season... but we are goig to land a yard short again!!!!:dolphins:

By the way... 3 road games sucks...and more when you don pick not even 1 w:fire:

Hmm, maybe that's his definition of lazy? I for one don't think our problems stem from a lazy Saban regardless of the translation.

lazy? i dont know if thts the word or not.

but lethargic and indecisive are more like it i think.

the guy is just plain timid on everything this year.

personel, game management, challenges, etc.....

he just has to much on his plate. he shouldnt have
been given the GM job on top of coach.

not only does he have to answer to his bad coaching
this year but also why the draft was bad and why his
free agents are bad, etc.....

if he just had to worry about coaching it MIGHT be
different. less to answer for and keep track of.

THIS JUST AINT COLLEGE NICK!!!

Please, you don't get to be NFL head coach if you are lazy.

The Dolphins need an upgrade of personnel. Give Saban some time.

I think it's more lazy huizenga (owner) than lazy saban. when we hired saban he was , by far, the most attractive candidate (college success, assistant coach - pro level, Bellichick's gushing praise) , but Nicky knew he had the Zinga over a barrel and crunched him on a crazy deal. (5 million a year and total control!) Even with his track record, it was nuts! Too much power, too much money. Now we have a Napoleonic complex coach that's confused.

He needs more time

If I recall correctly when saban first arrived here in miami one of the first things he said was that to turn this team aroung was not a 1-2 year process, and I totally agreed with that assesment then and I still agree with it. We were 4-12 the year before he took over and I think we over-achieved last year going 9-7. He did what he could do as far a free agency and the cap bringing players in here. Some of the players turned out not to be that good (so far) but you can only do so much in one offseason. I think the picks that he's made in the draft will put us in good position in about 2-3 years. We have some young d-linemen that should be good and a couple of years, we have a pretty good running back that with a better o-line could be great. And I think thats why we haven't seen much of jason allen this year because saban knows that this is not a one year fix and that throwing the guy in there now, when he clearly does not know what he's doing could hurt his confidence and hinder his play for years to come, this point was proven when saban made the comment that Troy Polamau did not play his first year in the leauge. I just think everyone got caught up in the run we went on last year and the expectations that was placed on the team by the media and are facing a hard reality, this team is not that good right now.

He's definately not lazy. Lazy would be someone who does nothing and somehow I doubt that is the case here. Do you really think he WANTS to lose? I doubt it.

Im hoping there are tons of empty seats. I got 4 seats in the upper level for $28 each. Im hoping i can move to the 50 yard line section of the upper level. What an awesome deal that would be for a sold out game!

My guess is that there will be more Packers fans there than Phins fans.

Im bringing my brother (die hard phinfan), my dad (packers fan since 1995, when the browns betrayed him), and a mutual friend of me and my brother who is a jets fan and will probably be rooting for Miami cuz he likes us and still wants to be our friend after October 22nd. So our group will be 3:1 Dolphin supporters.

"They are who we thought they were! AND WE LET EM OFF THE HOOK!"

maybe he's just not the brilliant, genious, second coming of don shula that everybody is painting him out to be.

I bet Saban is hardly lazy. I bet his wife pretty much just hangs around with friends and sees him during waking hours maybe 15 hours a week. NFL wives are kind of like military wives during the regular season I hear. I'm sure she's used to it after all of Saban's years being a coach.

Actually, I don't think it's good for a coach to be TOTALLY obsessed with football. He needs to have recovery time away from football on a regular basis just like players need recovery time after the games and when they get injured. A coach with a little bit of balance in his life would be better ... and a coach who exercises regularly and does whatever he has to do to keep his own stress under control. A stressed, angry, irritable, sleep deprived coach ain't always a good coach. Like sleep deprived airline pilots, they probably have a tendency to make more errors and are more difficult to be around because of the fatigue and irritability, etc.

I think Saban might be a workaholic like I hear Gruden is with the Bucs. I hear Gruden often doesn't bother going home much during the season. He just sleeps in his office from midnight to 4 a.m and then starts the grind all over again. I don't know if he's married. If not, I bet he makes his girlfriends just come to the training center for "dates" ... er, booty calls. That's life as an NFL coach I hear ... football, football, football ... 24/7 during the regular season. :D

I don't think Saban is Lazy at all, if so I'm quite sure the players would be acting like, the Radiers right now. Also everyone keeps talking about the last six games as if, the teams we were playing played to their full season abilities.
Most of those teams were either play-off bound already and didnt think the phins could bet their secondary or they were just like us had really nothing to lose. Think about it.
