LB Carpenter might still have "the makeup"

i could go either way on carpenter. he's been soft to this point in his career but still has talent IMO.
 
If we can get him for a 6th or 7th round pick then we should be ALL OVER it. Like the article said, Fasano was a bust in Dallas and was a stud for us. I believe Carpenter can do the same for us!
 
Some say that he goofed on that pick. If he doesn't pan out in Miami, what would they say about Parcells if he brings him over and gives him a second chance?

Fasano wasn't really a bust in Dallas. He was behind another very good TE.
 
Especially if the Cowboys sign Ray Lewis who they want badly. He would be behind lewis for ILB and Demarcus Ware for OLB, guy just doesnt have a chance in Dallas.
 
Do it! Let Crowder walk and give Carpenter a shot. He is not a bust. Wrong place, wrong time. Also consider that he is only 25.
 
for a 6 of 7 i would do it... 6 and 7 round picks usally don't make the roster anyways, so if he's really a bust so be it... but if he's not then we gat another steal from the Cowgirls...
 
i would give beck and culver (they need a SS) or beck and a 6/7th. i really want thing guy.

I'd rather spend a 5th or 6th round pick on Bobby Carpenter than using a first day pick on a LB. If we were to pursue something like this, and still re-sign Crowder, then we could use our 1st round pick on a more attractive position than LB or send it to ARI for Boldin.

According to a report I read somewhere, DAL is not interested in a bum like Beck. It said something like they want a veteran QB and mentioned a list of available QBs, but no mention of Aflac in the report.
 
I would start by offering Beck for Carpenter straight up and then maybe toss in a 7th (we have 3). I would not get too crazy because Carpenter may just not be that good (yes even BP can make mistakes) or Dallas may just cut Carpenter for cap room and we can get him for nothing.
