We need a top tier LB to pair with Alonso. We don't have a starting caliber LB on our team other than Alonso. We are getting torched by TE position and running backs that get past front four. Reuben Foster or Zach Cunningham with a returning Reshad Jones and a more experienced secondary will desperately help this defense.

Thoughts ??
 
We need a TE who can cover. Period.

Yes, sign the best one we can in FA and then use the top pick on one also.

I definitely agree that linebacker must be addressed. Hopefully we will between fa and draft. But fory money, I would be looking heavily at DE. If nobody is there worth our 1st, then I look elsewhere on defense. Regardless. Weuse heavily address defense this offseason.
 
With Lippett, Maxwell, and Howard at CB, Reshad Jones & IAQ at safety, our secondary looks fairly strong for 2017. We need to re-sign Branch. Keep Branch with Suh, Phillips, Wake (assuming he's back) and the D-line remains pretty strong. I am actually excited thinking about the improvement this defense can make with a good free agent addition at LB, a first-round pick at LB, and maybe a second round pick on a solid DE.

With this young group of WRs and young backfield, we can look to free agency for a solid starting-caliber guard. If you can accomplish that, the only offensive position we should target in the draft is TE.

With a few shrewd free agent signings and another strong draft, this team can really round into shape much more quickly than I thought possible.
 
I disagree about the secondary. We need a sideline to sideline, ballhawking free safety that can play centerfield for us. IAQ is decent, but we need some wheels back there.
 
Our linebacking play is atrocious! The D-line are holding up the opposing oline surge waiting for linebackers to fill the gaps and they are never there! They are always out of place and can't read the blocking schemes. Mike Hull can do it sometimes but he's just not athletically gifted to play the mike. Alonso is way too inconsistent and should be lining up on the outside. We need a instinctive mike badly in this years draft!
 
The upcoming 17 draft is definitely a draft to address LB in. I hope we do it.
 
We should have drafted LB's in the last 2 drafts. Of course that's our top priority. We need to get one in free agency if one's there that is worth bringing in and draft another with our 1st round pick and we need a young DE too

There are 2 or 3 bona-fide 1st round stud ILB, imo. Hopefully one of them drops to the Fins, and Kiko can slide to the weak side.

We need TWO. Move Kiko outside and draft a run busting MLB.
