Where was Le-Batard when Ireland was telling Alex this in the hotel room? Under the bed?

Agree completely. Glad we didn't get Smith but we got real problems about how our team and FO is perceived right now, and this kind of stupid crap doesn't help us any.

He pulled the offer because Ross has told him Tebow is our guy.
 
and on cue here come all the ireland apologists. There could be irrefutable evidence including photos and high definition video that he clubbed a baby seal while robbing an 85 year old lady and the same people would make excuses for him. Seriously, he could piss in your mouth and tell you its lemonade and you would say thank you and pay him for it
 
some people will never accepted Ireland is a problem and his old school way of negotiating falls in todays NFL! No matter how many stories surface the excuses still flow.
 
I'm sorry, but talent evaluation and all of that stuff aside, one thing is really clear about Jeff Ireland: The man is a social retard. There are just no two ways about it. Nobody on this damn earth likes the guy. Even Armando, who has clumsily tried to defend him the last few days, said this today:

"I've written Ireland is arrogant. He asked me if now was a good time to talk. He asked how I was doing. I told him I didn't recognize him.. "

Goddamn. Completely socially inept. A portrait is painted of a guy who literally does not even understand basic basic social graces, like starting a conversation with "Hello, how are you doing today? I'd like to talk to you for a few minutes if this is a good time."

He has to have people literally picketing outside of his offices to realize that maybe he needs to have a little goddamn courtesy?

Ireland is an @S$#@!e. You can't treat every player that walks through our door like that. That's how you get a bad reputation and it eventually comes back to haunt you.
