Anyone have an update on his status. Do we know if the Fins are interested? I hope we don't miss out on him like we did with Pete Kendell when Zona released him and the Jets picked him up. I know he has been out for 2 years, but the guy is young, he's been to the Pro Bowl at 2 positions and he adds much needed depth!

I dont know I thinking he could be a good pickup for any team willing to take the shot. But as time goes on and I hear nothing about teams contacting him for at least a workout, the more it makes me think he has nothing left.

I agree. Cleveland would have shopped Bentley if they felt he had any real value.

Its about timing though. If had been releases sooner maybe he gets signed. there are still some solid players looking for jobs. Im not saying he is that good anymore but there are reasons he may not have signed yet.
this smells just like the pete kendall mess we missed the boat on if you ask me! he will cost no more than vet minimum at this point and if he does not work out we cut him. we gave kyle turley a try and we cut him and he started for K.C.....

i wqas on a cleveland browns site and they said he demanded a release because they wouldnt START him a Center. they we wanting him to compete for the starting Guard job and he didnt like it. he wantst to START at CENTER. so i dont see him signing with us, unless we move Satele to Guard. depth isnt an option for him as of right now
I read from a news source that he wouldnt of started because he was runnin REDILCUSLY slow 40 time. and he would rather play Guard then Center. But who knows... Every newspaper says somthin diffrent. Wish they had like live chats with Players on NFL.com nowww that would be sweet
LeCharles Bentley used to be a Pro Bowl guard and center with the New Orleans Saints before signing with Cleveland after the 2005 season. He tore his ACL on the first day of training camp and never played in a single game for the Browns in his two years there.
