Left Tackles like Jake Long making big money

Arguably the most important position on any team with a right handed QB.

Of course the difference between these big money left tackles like Pace or Ogden or Jones and with Jake Long is that these guys got their money after becoming established pro-bowl players. Or at least their biggest money deals (since they were all high picks). Jake Long has yet to play a down in the regular season. Rookie contracts are a disgrace.
 
There are some good points there. Your players like Jason Peters (undrafted as a tight end) are a complete rarity. Matt Light is similar, but for the most part they do tend to be high picks.
