Talks about the younger recievers and the new WCO.
He had 44 catches for 467 yards last year at Carolina.
Could he be our third reciever ? We shall see.

We are in serious trouble if he's our true #2 at the end of the season. I hate this signing.

Since you seems to know so much apparently even more than the FO regarding Naanee I will make note of your "hate."

Did anybody else watch him play in SD and Carolina? He was horrible. He didn't suddenly become good because the Phins signed him. Our rookies have a great opportunity to step into a starting role with the current roster.

I just checked his stats. WOW! he's worse than I thought.. I always thought he was at the very least, decent, middle of the pack WR.. His stats suggest he sucks.

I'd rather go with bess hartline wallace, matthews and cunningham than have naanee steal one of thier spots.

I watched him play very little like most people i suspect on the board. I just don't get the impression that this current FO is in the habit of bringing in obviously "Horrible" FA. I'm going to bank on perhaps they see something that most fans don't....Call it blind homerism

He clearly knows more about him than you do, because Naanee sucks. He's the "what the **** are they thinking?" signing of the year. Last year's was Colombo and the year before was Barbie Carpenter. FO sure showed those darn fans whats up with those ones, didn't they?

Naanee will be lucky to make the team, even with this roster of WRs.

yep. I looked over his stats as soon as we signed him. If you can't be a decent wr in san diegos offense or that pass happy carolina team last season, then I don't think you'll ever be a decent WR. this guy is a camp body.

Exactly. If anything, he's going to be stealing valuable reps from rookies that have far more potential.

Naanee put up some pretty pathetic numbers in that high octane San Diego offense during his tenure there. Although it would be nice, I'm not expecting him to break out here in Miami.

I dont see how he wouldnt be.. I see him as actually our number 2 with Bess in the slot.

Normally I think you could be right but I do not see us running a lot of 3 WR sets. They have been talking about us only keeping 5 WRs on the 53. And it seems to me that we are going to run more two TE sets and If we can find a FB, a lot of regular I Formation sets with only 2 WRs. In that regard I would see us using Bess as the other starter. He runs very good routes and can catch the ball.

In a semi perfect world I'd like to see C Gates come back from last season's injury and become the 3rd WR. On one hand I can see him lining up on the other side like Tedd Ginn did and forcing the defense to keep a safety back deep. And I've always believed in putting a burner in the slot and sending them long the way the Rams did when they went to the Super Bowl

Forget stats and all that. Just watch Legedu play last year.

There's a reason he came in dead last on Pro Football Focus' ratings. I don't always agree with them, but on this one I do. He was open due to combinations of offensive and defensive schemes. He rarely (if ever) did anything with the football that the defense was attempting to take away. The only yards after catch you saw were ones that were given to him by the spacing, not by anything he did that was special. He flubbed passes that ended up in the opposition's hands for interceptions. To me he was the definition of "just a guy". You could sub in in a hundred guys for him and get the same, IMO.

Best I can say about him is that he probably learned his scheme well and knew where to be and when, but that's pretty much it.
