I think Ross "knows" what he wants to do, and I think he "knows" that no matter what he does, he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. It's like in politics, half the people are happy and half the people are pissed. So he's going to go through the process he has determined to be best, pick the candidate he determines to be best, and let next season play out. If he's validated, the media and fans will lay off. If he botches it he'll get hammered and he knows it. But he can't worry about fan reaction after NEXT year. He has to do what he believes is best for this year.
No matter what anyone says about Ross, i do not believe he is in this for the money, I believe he wants to win, and I believe that, whether correct or not, the decisions he is about to make will be made with the intention of winning in mind. He is not Daniel Snyder or Jerry Jones.
I think so much false information and speculation has been thrown out that as a result the obsessed fan base, who is tired of missing the playoffs, is whipped into complete frenzy for fear that any decision could be the wrong one. It wouldn't surprise me if Ross and company are sitting back and laughing at us because they see us freaking out and that about which we are freaking out is no where in their plans.
