You all wanna know why matt is so good. Its the people around him that make him good. What qb could be terrible with a running back duo like bush and white and a steve smith at wide reciever.I mean comeon.Omar could be alot better then leinhart would if omar was at usc.

Alright im ready to be trashed leinhart lovers.

If, if, ifffffffffff......

It is what it is....Leinhart is a WINNER, that is all that matters.

Nice stereotype, I'm sure your right. :shakeno:

That 4th and 9 play was so clutch its sick. One of the best clutch throws (on an audible) Ive ever seen in my life. Leinart is the #1 overall pick, hes a complete no brainer. Id be in favor of us working a serious trade to get this guy. He is incredible. To me at this point Leinart and Reggie Bush are #1 and #2 and #3 isnt close.

How many games in a row has he won as the starter for USC???? Wins are all that matters. Stats are too overrated!!!!!! How many other QB's would have had the balls to call that audible he did on 4th and 9. Matt Leinart is the consensus #1 pick in the 2006 draft.

Jason White anyone?

Now I dont agree with the original poster, but just cause someone is the best COLLEGE QB in the country doesnt necessarily mean he translates to the NFL.

Point in case in Jason White.

To the original poster:

Also, for the love of god HIS LAST NAME IS LEINART! NOT LIONHEART, LEINHART, LEINHARD, HARDLION, or whatever everyone else calls him.

If your going to start a thread knocking him, at least get his stinkin name right.

i dont know if he is a bust, but i dont think he will make a good NFL QB, well unless he plays for NE...he seems liek a product of the system...now, Reggie Bush.....talk about ready to make an immediate impact

Exactly thank you for proving my point. The kids a winner hes like 28-1 as a starter or something like that and hes bout to win his 3rd national title and maybe his 2nd heisman. Not to mention in doing all that as a qb hes looked damn good

Unified, this should earn your attention for "Worst of the Week". Just saying. :)

leinart has the size, the tools, the mechanics, the footwork, and the pocket presence of what should project to a star nfl qb. and to say that the players around him make him great is foolish- they don't hurt, but he's good in him own right. the knock on tom brady coming out of michigan was that a-train, terrell, walker, etc. made him look good, but while those 4 are doing nothing in the league, brady is the man. maybe, like brady, it isn't the players around leinart that make him great, but it's leinart who makes them great (ex. for bush, he's great no matter who's at qb).

That's the exact same thing people said about Tom Brady. Yes, Leinart benefits from the players around him. But he also makes a ton of plays. His field vision and accuracy are uncanny. The only weakness I see is that he's not a great athlete, but I really feel he will be a similar player to Brady. I don't see a bust, although a lot does depend on where he ends up. Steve Young would have been considered a bust if he spent his entire career in Tampa Bay.
