Cleo Lemon is not the answer at QB for the Fins. He may be a good 2nd or 3rd stringer but definately not a starter. I believe Joey should be given the opportunity to mature and get continuity with the receivers. Let's face it Joey didn't get much support in Detroit, are we going to throw him to the wolves over this ridicoulous season.

Saban should of noticed sooner that Culpepper was not ready. Everyone got emotionally tied up with Culpepper and wanting to come out a prove the naysayers wrong. I believe we would of had a better chance with Joey in the beginning had he been given the chance. Once he got in he had to play catch up, and carrying the dreams of all DolFans on his shoulder was too much to ask. He got in at the wrong time, it was too late.

I believe with a year under his belt, a proper back field with Ronnie and Ricky and a stronger O line we should have a better team next year. The WR's need to improve on catching the ball, how many drops did Chris Chambers, Marty Booker, Derek Hagan, and Randy McMichael have this year.

Lets just face it, overall they need to improve their play making, they need to tackle better, and we need better CB's. Overall, we need to sign those players that will make an impact in 2007 and see what is available in Free Agency to improve the team. Lastly, Mularky has to go...his play calling was sickening, especially when he asked Ronnie Brown to throw an option pass in the redzone that caused us the game on a 3rd and 3 agaisn't Buffalo (I think its all a blur). That was the glimpse of the season that was, is, and now is over.

Lemon hasn't been given a chance

don't know what you are basing your conclusions on

Lemon is a clear third-stringer who might be able to work his way into a back-up role some day, but he is not a starter. After reading posts on Finheaven clamoring for him to get a shot I was thoroughly underwhelmed by his effort. He had a sure INT dropped and generally seemed to be underthrowing his receivers, and his decision making was marginal, at best. From a year and a half in the system he should have shown better than what he did.

he outperformed Joey with alot less snaps in practice

I think it is too early to say Lemon is not the answer....he has not been given much of a shot...we know what Joey can and can't do. Joey has had more than half a season to lead this team at QB, and he is what he is.

I think our main problem with our offense is not the QB spot, it is our OC (Mularkey). I think we have to change OC's first and then bring in an offense that can work for us. Then we can draft a QB who will fit the system. DC may or may not get back to the QB he was in Minny, so we have some tough decisions to make. I would rather draft a QB then continue to bring in other team's rejects.

I agree that Cleo isnt the answer if we want to get to the playoffs next year but if our other two QBs cant elevate their games he may be our best shot at developing a QB. I was also somewhat underwhelmed with his decision making but I'm willing to put that aside since he has yet to have a full game under his belt and Mularkey simplified an already simple offense even more for the guy although to be fair it was working

Oh yes, Let's give JH 5 more years to become a starter. Do you believe that after 5 years and still making rookie mistakes like grounding that JH is the answer. Lemon has been labeled a backup and it's hard to shake it.

i like how, after half of one game and a solid performance, you have determined that lemon is not the answer, yet after nearly a whole season you think joey needs more time................

I'm not surprised about the reaction of Lemon's performance last night. People are willing to jump on anything positive when the Dolphins team has been without a good QB for so long. You never know how a guy will turn out. Maybe (big maybe) Lemon will turn out to be a good, solid pro QB. We'll have to see. It would be more realistic to give him an assessment after several games when he was actually game planned against. He is a totally different type QB than Harrington with his ability to move around. If a team is thoroughly prepared for that, it could make a difference in his performance. So it's a little premature to get too excited. It wouldn't be a bad idea to see him start next week and see how he does from the start. Of course, as bad as Indy's defense has performed, it would be hard to gauge him based on that game as well. (We BETTER run about 40-45 times against INDY)

You realize Lemon is in his fourth year now and still hasnt risen above 3rd string. It definitely aint his athletic ability holding him back so there's gotta be some reason. If he has real piotential, either Joey or Daunte will be cut next year and he'll be elevated to 2nd string. If Saban doesnt have faith in him he may be the one thats let go

Honestly, this sounds like something written by Joey Harrington's mom, not someone who is basing their opinion off of reason and results.

No one is throwing Harrington to the wolves by benching him. He's been terrible. He's been the exact same player he was with the Lions. He has shown NO signs he has gotten better since he started there, or here. Expecting him to get better at this point is not logical in the least bit.

Cleo Lemon last night outplayed Harrington by far, and last season was about as good as anything Joey has shown us all year in his first real action.

You realize, of course, that Cleo Lemon was a developmental prospect from a small school, right? He's probabaly going to end up lower on the roster for a while. He was still developing when the Chargers picked up Phillip Rivers, and then had to learn a new system mid-season in Miami last year. Give me a break.

I think it's utterly ridiculous to conclude that Lemon isn't the answer at this juncture. He's had a total of 2 halves of gametime to show us something. Wow, what a tremendous body of work :rolleyes2:rolleyes2. Most of us here gave Joey Harrington 10 games to prove that he sucks. And some people here are still willing to give him another shot at stinking up the joint next season. I can't justify formulating an objective opinion on Lemon in what essentially is 1 game. I personally think that next year and in the foreseeable future a healthy (disclaimer) Culpepper is our answer at QB. But give Lemon at least this last game against Indy and a chance to compete in camp next year.

Next year is his fifth year in the pros. Would you agree that if he isnt 2nd string then there are problems with his game that go beyond his athletic ability
