That leaves Lemon and Culpepper. One will stay and one will go. Seems Culpepper is on the way out.

Can we trade or do we cut?

With Culpepper... he's guaranteed $5.5 million if we cut him today. If he plays 16 games, he's paid $7 million. How do you view this? Do you view the $5.5 million as rehab already earned... and he starts earning his pay today?

Do you let Culpepper compete? What if he's better than Green?

Who will want to trade for Culpepper at his salary, with his injury status? Even for a 7th?

I think you have to let Culpepper prove that he's healthy and let him compete with Green... so that he is tradeable. The dead-cap is too big right now if we cut him. The money is already committed. He will be paid whether he's here or not. We might as well keep him for now.

2) What if hes better than Green :sidelol: What if peoples pets started walking upright and talking while we were mute?

3) Nobody. Thats why he will be cut.

4) Not true. If he is cut then we can spread the cap hit over two seasons. I dont think he will get the money personally either. I think it just counts as cap hit. Not sure.

I think if we cut him, we get a $940k cap savings this year, and a $4.2 million cap hit next year. (whether he's here or not).

How do we know Green is safe. The only safe QB on the roster, IMO, is Beck. If indeed we will have a competition at QB then the best man will win. We can look at all the "what they have done before" and yes that may be an indication of what they might do, maybe not. Maybe Culpepper will come out and amaze everyone and he gets the nod and we cut Green. Maybe Green wows everyone and he gets the nod and we cut Culpepper. Lemon? Perhaps but highly unlikely he is in the mix to start. Maybe Lemon is the man let go and we keep Pepp and Green. But the only thing that is for sure..... Beck is the only QB on the roster who has no worries about being a Dolphin this year.

Lemon. it was just reported on Fox RADIO....no link...cam and randy meet with culpepper this morning (6-6-07) and told him he was not part of their plans. they are asking for a 5th-6th round pick. Culpepper has already contacted several media sources informing them he is NOW shopping himself.

Thats too bad that they have dismissed Culpepper already. I think he deserved the right to compete for the starters job. Just handing the starting job to Green is just plain stupid. The Phins are in the best situation they have been in since Dan on QB. Have a competition and let them fight it out to be the starter. Love everything CAM has done so far but IMO this would be a mistake putting all our eggs in the Green basket without seeing what each QB has yet.

We keep c-pep,Trent starts the year . He's hurt in week 8 , we are 7-1. c-pep comes in goes 7-1. He blows out his knee inthe SB, Lemon comes in for a comeback win.Next season Beck takes us to our second undefeated season & a SB win! Good lord did I just write that?????
