Free agent OG Leonard Davis is reportedly down to under 350 pounds and "said to be primed to go," for any interested teams.

The 33-year-old Davis should be willing to settle for a veteran's minimum kind of deal after being benched for Montrae Holland in Dallas last year. Still a powerful run blocker, Davis could at least be a versatile backup for a power-running team. He's made starts at right guard and both tackle spots in his career.

He is a better guard than tackle - very big man and could open up some running lanes for Bush.

I think if you put him at left guard, you could have a serious run blocking tandem on that side with Long. I still think they should kick Carey into right guard and test Garner at right tackle. Really dont care if they promised Richie a starting spot or not, you gotta earn it and I dont think he could beat any of those guys out.

I knew we'd look at getting Colombo and Davis as soon as they got cut....thank goodness Chicago snagged up Williams and Barber real quick.
