OK I know the game was moved up and there was a hurricane but I have a gripe:

I was at the game (section 417 r19 seats 1&2). It was hot and sunny. There was lots and lots of tailgating going on (myself included) and it looked like a huge turnout. However when I went to my seat at the begining of the game the place was at least 30% empty. This disgusted me I mean appauled!!!!

Maybe its just me but when I watched the broncos game they had 3 LEVELS PACKED without a open seat in the stadium the same could be said for the Jets. I mean just pathetic, I am really dissapointed in the miami fans. I realize I shouldn't expect more but man no wonder we lose at home we don't have a home feild advantage (this goes into last year too ). I guess I wanted the phins fans to be stronger then the media portrays them, But clearly not the case. I will be at every game, I will be cheering and screaming, I will be sitting my severly sunburnt body in the stands every home game, and screaming from my couch ever away game. You would have to drag me fighting away from my seats to get me not to be there. I'm not implying that I am better then any other fan, cause I AM NOT. I am just dissapointed. I just saw a bunch of sold out and packed stadiums (even for 2nd teir teams) and became jealous.

Oh a quick note:

When attending dolphins 1pm games sunscreen your arms, legs, face, and neck. Focus on your arms and knees as mine are fried to a crisp!!!!!!

I'd say the hurricane had something to do with it... it WAS a sold out game, after all.

I listened to the game on the radio. The crowd sounded REALLY loud at least on the radio.

Two, the game was moved up. Chances are most of those 30% couldn't make it to the game on Saturday. People work, people have plans, pleople have lives. Sometimes you can break them to watch a football game.

I agree, i'm hoping the steelers game will be better. We were loud !!!! I'll give you that.. but i just wanted more fans... I guess family and stuffis more important then a game.. I wasn't stating anything bad about anyone just frustration that i felt we weren't the 12 man we were more of the 11 1/2 th man

The game was sold out ticket wise. I would only think due to hurricane, peoples family, etc had maybe just something to due with lack of attendance? The crowd wasn't bad considering the many seats that weren't occupied..and it's not like we had much to cheer about anyway. Besides it's not like our stadium is built well for noise.

I have a perfect example...I go to the games with a group of nine ony 6 of us went as three had to either work or flee with there women because of the hurricane!

And also people began leaving about 3 minutes into the fourth quarter.......What the hell is that. Those arent fans.

I was at the game Section 407 row 4 seats 17 & 18...SCREaMING my lungs out while getting fried by the sun....ITS GREAT TO BE BACK IN THE SEASON BOYS!.. I think the crowd will show up for the steelers.... I know quite a few people from Key West that didn't come because of Ivan...& I know of more people that couldn't go because it was moved.... WE WERE LOUD? & the attendance wasn't even 100%... I don't care what anyone says I will be at every game losing my voice and blisters on my hands from beating the chairs.... I LOVE THIS GAME MAN!!!!!!:o

What anyone does with his or her money is no one's business. Yes, a packed house is always good, but I'm sure any business owner would like to have that kind of guaranteed revenue. The NFL is a business. If I'd rather do something else with my time, that's my choice.

BTW, use a higher SPF for the sunblock bro. ...remember, you can never put too much on your knees and elbows. ;)

I wasn't infering that because you didn't go to the game you are inferior or a bad person. I just was disapointed with the turn out. it seemed more preseasonish then regular season.

Its none of my concern what you do with your money i don't care if you spend it on hookers and booze, or bibles and charities. the fact is the fan support was lacking at the game. The odds are it was due to the hurricane threat but i was voicing my opinion. If i took your post incorrectly then i apologize

It's cool. No need to apologize at all. I understand what you're saying. I was just giving you the other perspective, that's all. :)

Yeah, I remember listening on the radio and when Feeley came in the place erupted.

Empty seats dont bother me as much as leaving early,That always bothers me like crazy. Especially at heat games. i know its apin with the traffic and all but I can only imagine how disheartening it is as aplayer seeing your fans pouring out with time left in the game.

On another note, The hurricanes have it even worse. Unless its florida state the orange bowl hardly ever sells out. I am not preaching though as I can attest that the OB is its own little piece of hell in Little Havana.

The hurricane was a factor but I believe the main reason was the change of dates.People usually plan their weeks around Sunday games. Not everyone can change their plans for a saturday game.
