*Read this as you listen to the theme from Schindlers list or any sad song*

A day that will live in infamy in the Dolphins Nation.....The beginning of the 2007 NFL season.:boohoo:

The reason I post this is so we can really appreciate where we came from. What made me think of this was when the Fins whooped up on New England, thier fans booed a team that just took them to and 16-0 season and the Super Bowl.

Yeah we've only won 2 games thus far....but were are far beyond where we were in 2007. Here are a few lowlights from last year (there are too many to list them all).

Hired:
Cam Cameron

Draft:
Tedd "Great Family" Ginn Jr....1st Rd 9th Overall

Released;
Wes Welker (went on to New England :shakeno:)
Sammy Morris

Resigned:
Cleo Lemon to a 1.3 million dollar contract

Aquired:
Trent Green for 5th Rd conditional.....suffers cuncussion

Off field problems:
Joey Porter ahs fight with Levi Jones
3 Fins are arrested: Fred Evans, Kelly Campbell and Chris Chambers

Injuries:
Trent Green mentioned above
Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams suffer injuries ending season
Zach Thomas suffers migraines due to cuncussion

3pt losses:
6 games were lost by 3 pts.

Pats season:
Pats go 16-0 in regular season.....(consilation prize! lose in SB:up:)

Final note:

I just wanted to put this up here so we can appreciated the way this organization is moving this year.

*now change the music to anything from the 300 soundtrack or Gladiator or anything powerful and loud*

Yes I know it has only been 2 wins. But last year this time it was 4 losses...and no hope in sight. These two wins have been significant wins. We are talked about in sports shows as much improved. We are no longer the easy win for NFL teams. We are no longer one of the winless teams in the NFL (RAMS, BENGALS, Houston and Detroit). Now we look forward to Sundays and walk around diplaying our team colors proudly. And featured on front pages of NFL network and ESPN in positive ways. Our players are nominated Defensive and Offensive players of the week. As well as our coach....NO RUMORS OF FIRINGS ABOUND. Now when we see fellow Fin fans they want to talk about the Fins potential and how great the past weeks game was. Hopefully it keeps going as the season goes on.

GO FINS!!!!! :hi5:

We traded Welker, and we had way more injuries than u listed but i feel ya.

According to some the Ginn pick was fantastic and any time now, we'll see the fruits of that pick coming to pass..........Any time now......

Any time now.....wait for it.........wait for it.....there it goes....nope false alarm.

another major thing of last year.. bell tears achilles and 2 or 3 other db's follow with injuries.. we were getting guys off the street to cover wr's... but thats in the past.. now we actually have a future to look foward to..

well, it started out to be a good post. I have a feeling I know where you were headed and it probably is a nice post.

I have no idea though.....I quit reading about halfway through, when I got to the sarcastic "Great Family" comment. I haven't heard that before. It was quite original...really. Did you come up with that one your own?

Like Satchel Paige once said, "Never look back, as something might be gaining on you."

The past is the past. I am over it.

that one never gets old though. I still agree with the booing of the pick from the fans. I guess maybe they knew more than we thought.

I was sleeping in a hollowed out WinnDixie in Boutte, LA at the time, in a makeshift compound, gaurding FEMA trailor parks in the NOLA area. I was SO pumped for the draft. I worked night shift....6P to 6A and stayed up all morning waiting for our pick in the meat locker which we had made into our day room. There I sat...Alone in the dark. My heart was pounding as Quinn dropped, and, dropped.....Now on the clock...The Miami Dolphins....

*My god...why are they waiting?! Well.....It's got to be waiting for trade offers...smart...smart...smart...Yes...smart...Good..I'm glad these guys are in charge and not me. There's got to be some kind of huge deal they're working........PICK! GOD! PLEASE!......It's going to be ok....Here it comes....*

Then, the pick was announced. I picked up my PS2, unplugged the wires and, went to my cot to go to bed. I don't recall being more deflated or disappointed in my life.

Not to get too...uhhh...weird, but the theme from Schindler's list should not be applied to a bad 'fins campaign.

Yea, I was talking about the 'Great Family' comment. And I was also being sarcastic when I asked if you came up with that yourself.....

I think it's only been mentioned about 7,000 times on Finheaven since April 2007.

But hey, I don't really like dead horses anyways....why not beat it a little more?
