I like the hire and he seems to be highly intelligent and I think he likes teaching football players. After watching the press conference does Philbin INSPIRE you?

Yes. He seems a very knowledgeable, respected guy. He is composed, confident and has a good football brain. He seems to believe in his own philosophy and knows exactly what he wants, and convinces me what he plans to implement is going to work well. Seems a great hire, very impressed with his media handling skills - something which can't be said for Ross or Sparano.

The thing that really impressed me was the fact that he demands accountability from his players, he doesn't seem the type to just plug guys in based on salary. He will get the best players in regardless

Yeah, I got the feeling he probably wants Marshall on the first plane out of town.
I like Philbin, I think he will eventually be able to field a good offense. My concern is that the team we have in place right NOW, whcih is pretty good is going to be leveled and we will start from square one.
The REAL problem I am worried about is that Ross wants instant results, and that just isn't going to happen. He sure seems like he is going to constantly tinker and meddle and tell the media what HE is going to do to make the fins better. This is the very worst thing that could happen to the Dolphins.
Look at how Kraft, Mara and Rooney run their respective organizations. It is totally different from how Ross does things. I really cannot picture Ross ever admitting to anyone that they know more about anything than he does. He seems very hands on, and very demanding.
