Let more trade rumors with Philly begin!!!

I believe it would be in the dolphins best interest to keep Ricky this year and show the whole leage that he can play an entire season(minus 4 games) and that he still has a lot of tread on those tires. Then, and only then, will we receive the value that we need in return to keep building our franchise.

Didn't they want Morris? Or was that Jax? Trade them both, get some picks, and keep Kay-Jay & Minor. We need to stock pile picks for next year.

Not a bad idea, although I still don't know how marketable Ricky is. But Philly, being a team that should challenge for a championship, might take a risk.

Ricky should warrent a 3rd just from his past alone I think

oh ya...no doubt...what a past!!!

nick1 look back at his past and you let me know if you were the GM of the Fins...and he quit on the Eagles last season...he needs to still serve a 4 game suspension...he has/had a substance abuse problem...he's from another planet...and tell me now...would you send Miami's 3rd round pick for R. Williams to the Eagles?

i for one would not trust him at all...he's way to un-stable...i wouldn't depend on him for anything right now...maybe later on in the future but right now...hell no.

Go Fins!!!

If there was a "HUGE" trade in the works for Ricky with the Eagles, then I guess I'd pull the trigger on it...but if it is just like, a 3rd round pick or 2nd round pick or somethin, I wouldn't do it. Not worth it, because after he finishes this season without incident (IF he does...) I think his value will skyrocket.

I would try to get him with a 6th which would not happen

Hell he's already just about finish the PS without incident, if you don't count the forgotten Player Handout in Pitts. His value should skyrocket alone on just reporting and not being a distraction. The only thing keeping Philly from pulling the tigger is TO. His antic's this PS has cause such a circus in Philly that adding RW wouldn't go over well from a PR standpoint right now...but by the trading deadline and TO shuts his mouth, We may ease RW into Philly for a 2nd or 3rd.

It's going to take more thsn 1 year for Ricky to have any trade value.... for 2 simple reasons:

1) 1 more failed test and banishment for a FULL season.
2) He simply can't be trusted that he just won't quite again. He has stated nothing in his interviews to suggest that he loves playing the game and doesn't plan on retiring (again) in the near future.

I can't see any front office offering anything of value for him.

Philly has Brian Westbrook...i think they just need a backup.

I don't see Westbrook as a full-on feature back, but he isn't a backup. If you ask me, they need a complimentary sort of player, which is why I suggest Davenport. They're very different and are probably both not suited to a full time feature back role.

i think you guys are missing the point.

we will never get value for RW....unless he just stays here.

all he wants is a decent salary and to lose that 8.6million dollar debt.

he could stay here for years, being a part of a great football system which utilizes two very talented backs. so if ricky busts 1000 in 12 games but other teams know that he has gone on record saying he would only play 2 years....what are they gonna give up except for conditional picks....

ricky williams has more value to us than a 2nd round pick (feeley ...cough)....even crowder who WILL be a playmaker still doesn't have the talent that ricky did/does. crowder wont be a top 3 linebacker in the NFL (id love that but thats not easy feat).

BEST CASE SCENARIO in my mind is this:

-Ricky and Ronnie have a good year, they are both productive and show flashes of excellence and can work well together.

-Ricky sees that Saban's ship is still headed in the right direction and decides that he would rather play for a reasonable salary and be part of a winning team and organization that has a chance at the SB. obviously ricky hasn't even hardly seen the playoffs.

-Ricky ends his career a dolphin after a 2007-8 SB win by miami :D

-Ronnie Brown, having shared carries with a pure talent at running back continues for years to be a dominant back with a 110% practice and team attitude that RICKY HAS ALWAYS SHOWN CEPT FOR THAT ONE HUGE FLAKEOUT. even saban says today that ricky is in the top 5 of practicing hard and fully.

k im done

Went to philly forum and I offered them a few trades. Out of what I offered they said that they would do Gordon for a 5th and Gordon and DT for a 4th. If they would do Gordon and DT for a 4th, I say pull the trigger.
