Let s Give Oakland a 7th for Rolando McClain

Do people not realize the dude beat some guy outside a bar and shot off a round next to his ear execution style?

I dont understand how so many of the pro athletes can put their high paying careers in such jeopardy over stupid stuff. Pure stupidity, aw some guy spoke badly to you, yea I will teach him a leson lol

I see it all day long. I work ata University with an ACC team and before I got here I didn't get it but now I do. Your college atheletes can do no wrong and are untouchable. Athletic Association swoops in and breaks out the checkbook to make it all go away, so by the time they go pro, they just assume someone will do the same. It's a fairytale world for them and they really believe they are bulletproof.

I can't help but think the only reason he did so well in college is because he had the Nicktator giving him all that positive reinforcement. :d-day:

every single day. :chuckle:

No one can deny that this guy has tremendous ability. I think he needs the leadership that Philbin's staff can provide and most importantly...a second chance. If he doesn't shape up, ship him out. I think we could afford to trade one of our 7th rounders for McClain. Can't believe we couldn't give him a shot.
Please no. He is the exact opposite of what Coach Philbin is trying to do here.

He's not a difference maker. There's no point in bringing that malcontent to this team. Seriously wtf makes you think Philbin would want a guy with his off-field issues?

This is one of those guys that had all the talent in the world coming out of college and has pissed it all away once he starts getting paid for the work. If I truly thought he could turn it around, I'd say it was worth a shot, but if he couldn't hack it on a team like Oakland where they tend to usually overlook this behavior, then imagine how much trouble he'd start here.

He was a beast in college, its a shame once they go pro, it all falls apart. How much of this thuggery is fueled by the city of Oakland? Not making excuses for the guy but his surroundings contribute to igniting the lunacy.

Maybe for depth but he whiffed on tackling Anthony Fasano last year, allowing him to score. Bellichick would love if we picked him up. Plus, Koa Misi is no slouch..

I think it's more likely they would give us a 7th for Rolando.

He was fine his whole life until he played for a team in Oakland, CA?

I sort of doubt it.

Rolando McClain’s career with the Raiders fell apart in large part because of his inability to stay out of trouble off the field. Now his time with the Ravens is off to a bad start.

McClain, the linebacker who signed with the Ravens this month after being cut by the Raiders, was arrested on Sunday night in his hometown of Decatur, Alabama
