Now that the pesky CBA deal is behind us. We can all get back to what we love best. Rumors and innuendo! Will player x who was just cut be a fit for us? Can Nick Saban be converted from coach to safety? And my personal favorite, should we trade down in the draft or not? All these questions and more will be asked and answered as nasuem over the next few months. I for one, can't wait!

In fact, I figured I could help get the ball rolling by posting who I think we should pick up in FA. I will leave the draft to the experts since, after all, they ARE experts, right? Ok, so here goes:

QB: Drew Brees. To me, this is a no brainer. Despite his injury, he should be good to go at 100% come the start of the season and Drew Brees in a Dolphins unifrom at 100% is a good thing. It is time to finally correct the ultimate Wanny brainfart and bring Brees to his rightful team.

WR: David Givens. The other options looks to be Josh Reed (of the stinky Buffalo Bills) and T.O. (of the Philadelphia T.O.'s). T.O. has more talent and Josh Reed is a virtual unknown. I say we split the difference and geth the wide receiver with talent but doesn't make a big stink about it. Plus, T.O. will be more money and just think of the extra cost of all the mirrors we would need to hang up so he can look at himself 24/7. Go with Givens, pair him with Chambers and watch Brees make the connection.

OL: Kevin Mawae. He is old. He is a Jet. He puts a hurting on Zach virtually every time they play each other. Adding him to the roster alone probably extends Zach's career by a season and adds a win to that column every year as well. Do a two or three year deal max and draft/groom his replacement NOW.

LB: Julian Peterson. This is my pipiest of pipe dreams. His injuries concern me but his familiarity with Saban and his shear talent have me drooling of the possibilites of Julian lined up next to Zach and Crowder.

DT: Sam Adams. I know, I know another former AFC East rival coming to Miami. Personally, I just want to sign him for cheap and put him next to Keith Traylor so I can copiously use this :fatman: :fatman: all season long.

So those would be my key pickups. How about yours? I can't wait to hear how we can possibly trade a fourth round draft pick for Anquan Boldin. Or, how bringing back Jay Fiedler "wouldn't be a bad thing." Feel free to post your ideas here! Its Free Agency season boys and girls! LOCK AND LOAD!

i love all that but problem is the secondary now. waht, have 3-4 rookies in S and CB this year? i doubt it

I agree with them all! I do however agree with you that Peterson is a pipe dream. But I can live with and feel that the others improve us by at least 2-3 wins.. coupled with the coaching upgrades and things will look good in Dolphins land.. good job!

btw when i made a thread about players like that comign to miami they said its not madden yada yada yad pesronally i think it IS possibhle.

Duck!

FA - Brees, Ashworth, Adams, Champbell
Draft - S , CB, LB , OL, CB, QB, WR

Im in my arm chair right now!

I like all of your thougths and am particularly interested in seeing Adams and Traylor fill up the OL gaps like a Jenny Craig convention at a buffet.:fatman: :fatman:
But I would add one signing and that is Chris Hope. Is really a SS but played his way on the field at FS.

I am a huge Chris Hope fan and he could really play whatever spot he wanted given our current condition at S. However, I doubt he is at the top of the priority list and another will almost assuredly outbid us for him.
