I actually like Matt Moore's chances at beating out Henne.
Moore's "flashes" come more often than Henne's, and he has no fear of going downfield. He had his best year in 2009, when he played in 7 games, completing over 61% of his passes for 8 TDs and 2 INTs (98.5 QB rating). You can throw out 2010. They lost Jeff Otah, and Steve Smith, and D. Williams. They also had the worst receiving corps in the league.
The question with Moore is; “which QB is he?” Is the the QB from 2009 or the QB of 2010? I strongly believe the prior, and tonight at Dolphins practice we will get our first look at Matt Moore. Whoever the Dolphins QB ends up being, will not have the excuse that he didn’t have enough weapons.
It will be fun to watch the QB competition unfold.
