Let The Panic Begin!

I also am not jumping off of anything just yet. Every week someone comes up with a reason we suck.....first it was Henne, then the O line, then the Defense blows, then D Thomas is a bust......and every week one of those theories is shot down. Henne is playing fantastic, the OLine opened holes against a good DLine, DThomas showed why we drafted him, and the D played much better than week 1. The unfortunate thing is that each week some stupid little wrinkle rears it's head and costs us the game.
We need to recognize the talent on this team and that once the things on this team come together (hopefully all in the same game) we are a huge threat to every team. You can't expect our team to turn everything around in one week.

Lol 40% completion is fantastic to you? Sweat we ran the ball in the 3rd qt down 16-3! Ever think Houston was playing off the ball defending the big play? Our rookie RB coughed the ball up! Same people defending his fumble are the same ones defending Hennes interceptions! Kid had a huge question mark on his ball security coming out of college and halfway through his first game as a pro he showed us why.

You set the bar so low you didn't even pick it up off the ground!

Two games into the season and we are 2 games out of 3rd place. Time to fire some coaches, and cut some players today Sparano.

This forum has brought a smile to my face this morning.

So The Dolphins lost two games they were supposed to lose. Still have 14 more to go.

Go fins!

Its just getting so old now. Same mistakes over and over again. I'm tired of getting laughed at all the time. Nobody respects our team.

Please add to the list, but the only players who have overachieved on this team are Wake and Bess. Most of the team are underachievers and that is a problem. This needs fixed now. I don't care if its the 1st game, second game or mid-season. It's effin old now!!!

I'm amazed how people point to Thomas's fumble as a sign that he is a bust or is no good. That kid ran his tail off yesterday.....better than Ronnie has in 3 years, and nearly as well as Ricky a few years back. He is a professional playing against professionals. Mistakes happen, but you can't take away the way he ran the ball. By season's end, if he averages 5+ yards a carry and sees a significant amount of playing time, you may be calling him Offensive Rookie of the Year. I'm not predicting that after 1 game, but you can't discredit the way he looked simply because someone made a great play against him. You think Manning, Brees, Brady, Peterson, Johnson, and Fitzgerald never put the ball on the ground? He's not in their class yet (if ever), but give the kid a break.

Lets not get too carried away just yet :err:

Please enlighten me, so what games are we suppose to win?

I wonder if the OP will say we were supposed to lose when we lose to Cleveland on Sunday.

And last season they lost many games they were supposed to win. Plus what's the state of your franchise when you open a season saying that you EXPECT to lose the first 2 games!? Go Fins!

Nope. That is a game they should win. It's a road game, the Dolphins are good with those.

Look...It is only 2 games in but the writings on the wall.

The Pats are ...Bob Crafts team...the perennial favorites owned by one of the most powerful men in the NFL
The Jets are...Up off the canvas and in one of the biggest markets in the NFL
The Bills are...Playing like a team with heart in a small venue w/ lots of history & rabid fanbase
The Dolphins are...Owned by a NY'er who could care less about actually "winning" and has destroyed the remaining fanbase by placing the same crappy product on the field year after year.

Tell me with a straight face who in our division are we going to beat 2 twice this year? Who are we going to beat even once?

supposed to lose?

Wow You tony lovers sure are crazy. Your standards have fallen...

Every ****ing game is winnable.

You realize that we are one of the lowest ranked teams in power rankings, right? National media pundits have predicted us as bad as 3-13. If we go 3-13 are you going to smile and say "Guys, stop worrying. We were supposed to lose those 13 games anyways. We are fine." ??

Dude, 0-2 sucks...and 1-4 or 0-5 is more than likely the start after we play Cleveland, San Diego and the Jets. The latter two I see very little chance of winning.

We have also lost 6 straight home games and 11 out of the last 12.....this is unacceptable.

If you actually thought Sparano got a clean slate for the past coming into this season? You were mistaken.

The edict was this team better get better now, and this kind of start is going in the wrong direction to say the least.

Not sure how old you are, but this team didn't used to lose much at home, much less the embarrassment it has suffered under this regime.

A lot of people predicted those disaster scenarios(2-14, 3-13) based on the fact that it was very possible we'd start 0-5 or 1-4 and Sparano would lose the team causing the whole house of cards to collapse. They were laughed at and ran off the board by the resident homers.

I predicted 6-10 and that may have been on the optimistic side. We are 3 point underdogs vs the Browns next week. We'll likely be touchdown(or more) dogs vs the Jets and Chargers. 0-5 is looking like a legitimate possibility. Looking at the rest of the schedule after that, we'll only likely be favored in three games-- Home vs Denver, Home vs Bills, and Away at the Chiefs. Granted we might win a game we're not supposed to win and lose a game we're not supposed to lose, but the future doesn't look too bright. Barring any major injures ala the Chiefs, still don't think we're bad enough to get Luck, but we're right in the running for Barkley imo.
