Let Vikings vs Redskins begin for our # 2

At #7, it is a mathematical certainty that one of these players will be around:

Brown
Benson
C. Williams
Edwards
M. Williams
Smith
Rodgers

If it is anybody but Rodgers, that will be who we pick at 7 if we stay there. I really don't know that I see Nick drafting Rodgers. Luckily, it is almost certain that the Titans aren't taking one of those 7 so two of them should be out there for us.

Titians need WR's, yes they need other help, but don't count them out if Mike Williams is sitting there when they pick

The Titans need a WR about as badly as we do given who they still have on their roster, but they have a giant hole in the secondary. I would be shocked if they went Williams over Rolle/Jones/Rogers. I just don't see them in a value drafting mode, so I'm more worried about them trading out of the pick to Washington or somebody farther down if Williams or some other guy people want is sitting there. The Chargers would be a good possibility for them. They'd still be able to get one of those 3 corners in that top Charger pick.

Drew Bennett, Calico,Wolcott, are the only three WR's on the roster. How can you say they don't need a WR????

It's not that they don't need a WR -- it's that they don't have the need to take one up top. If you were saying they are in the running for a Chris Henry or lesser sort of WR, I absolutely agree. I think that if they're drafting to fill holes (and I think they will), they have to project Bennett and Calico to start and consider the position one of lesser need.

Speaking of Chris Henry, he is the one guy I would stay far away from in this draft! I was at the Rutgers game this year. That guy is a bomb waiting to explode! He dosen't listen to anyone, coaches players etc...

I mean this guy is nuts!!!!

I am actually of the opposite opinion. I think he has tremendous talent and tremendous untapped talent. With the right type of coach and WR coach, I see Henry as a potential steal. He is Jerry Porter if you ask me. The only difference is that Porter is more of an aloof underachiever while Henry is along the lines of a Moss in terms of his acting out.

Didn't he get throw out of more games then just the Rutgers game?

Yeah, and I'm not saying he won't be a handful. I just think he is controllable and that the problems have already dropped his price (and that it will be below what you see him at in mocks -- he could well be Kelley Washington, only for a different sort of reason).

He does have a world of talent!

If and only if we can't get Minny to cough up both of those first would I even consider talking to Washington. I am not sure I like the idea of moving to 9 because we more than likely move outof range for one of the big three RB's. If we do this deal with the Skins there would have to be a player involved because they dont have the picks to move up. So we may get our WR along with two picks.

Its good that he has been knocked down a coupla pegs hopefully he would have something to prove. Most guys with that attitude play better with a chip on the shoulder.

Are you really that high on Gardner to call him "our WR"? I'm not really convinced he's any better than the former Redskin we have now (Thompson).

No but if this trade happens Saban might feel that way, because I still dont see it as value. We are also not asking Garndner to be anything but a #3 WR, he may be just fine as a #3.

What about we go ahead with the Minny trade get the #7 and #18. Then if it is a reciever the Redskins are after they may trade for that 7th pick to get Mike William (if he's available).
