We need to put pressure on the greedy NFL. This archaic blackout rule needs to go. In this economy most people can't afford to even go to the games. Here in Tampa they are blacking out the Fins preseason game. It's nothing more than greed on the NFL's part. How can we get the message to them that it's time to get rid of that rule??

We need to have a better team first................

Right............................

I live in Gainesville and all dolphin games are blacked out. Even when a Jacksonville TV station can show a Dolphin game they do not, they show a old movie instead.

But they care about the fans. The NFL, The Owners and The Players.

How much could they reduce ticked prices if they took a 1% cut in profits? I don't think that discussion ever came up when the owners and players were arguing over profit percentages.

you know that dumb rule started in 1973? It's time to shelf it.

That has nothing to with the NFL. The Dolphins sign contracts with TV stations in order for their preseason games to be televised. It seems like the contracts are on a year to year basis.

on that note, does friday's game have to sell out by 7:30pm tonight to be televised locally on WFOR?

It's all about local stations and their deals with their respective team. I live in the balt/DC area. when the raven/skins play either a late sunday, or monday night, or if they play out of conference, there is always some old movie or a bunch of local crap. even 3 hours of non stop infomercials....stupid.

Dolphins haven't had a regular season blackout since 1998. (Jaguars also didn't have any at all in 2010)

But, I agree, it's a stupid rule and should be abolished. It doesn't help the Raiders (who have struggled recently) sell more tickets.

Live in NY, have to go out to watch the games or buy the ridiculous sunday ticket. F that, get the free feeds online and stick it to the nfl just like they do to the fans

I live in Buffalo, so I get the best of both worlds in that there are plenty of Bills games that are blacked out, so they usually put on the Dolphins games instead.

wrong sir, that's why the game in Tampa will be blacked out.

It wont be shown in Tampa because the Dolphins don't have a contract with any TV station in Tampa. Were you able to see the game against Atlana?
