Dante coming to Miami is a great day for any Dolphin fan period!!!!!

First of all any real Dolphin fan knows that Saban has done an outstanding job restructuring and fixing our franchise after the Wanny era of death....
Saban knows several things

1 A knee injury is not the same as a shoulder injury for a QB.....
2 Brees is not worth 10 Mil a year....(weak arm prior to injury)
3 Dante is a pro bowl caliber QB .......( Feeley, Fielder, Sage, on and on...)
4 Dante wants to be here and is willing to restructure!!!!
5 2007 with a health Dante a younger and better coached team is a happy day in Miami
shall I go on.......

Wake up nay sayers at the end of the season we had no idea of who would be at the helm of our team...we had unrealstic dreams of Jay Cutler (Unproven) and a list of Qb's who wouldn't excite a 17 year old at a strip club...

Now we have Dante :D :D :D
pro bowler
young
leaving a horrible team (in terms of coaching)
something to prove
cannon of an arm

LETS GO DOLPHINS STOP COMPLANING AN BE HAPPY......
This is a great day......:dolphins: :dolphins:

Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. It's a great day for the 'Phins. All we gave up was a stinkin' 2nd round pick. For a potential pro-ball QB! It's a GREAT day.

My 1000th post, and I must say:

:D :D :D

I'm just glad to see a "starting" caliber QB, after missing Marino for years. I have some doubts about Dante, especially coming off an injury, but Brees had at least as many question marks -and a shoulder injury that could make him the second coming of Chad Pennington.

I wish it could have been a third round pick, as there is massive talent in the second round this year and the Vikes needed to cut Dante before paying the big roster bonus anyway, right? Probably more to the story though, and I trust Saban did the best thing for the team.

:dolphins:

Ya know...initially I was disappointed. I felt very much that Brees would just be a better fit. And I've read many of the thoughts by fin fans on here. Sounds like the majority of us are disappointed. If Daunte woulda had a better season last year, perhaps we wouldn't have been so disappointed to be getting him. But then again, maybe Daunte woulda been more expensive. Is Daunte ever gonna take us to a SuperBowl? I don't know (doubtful, honestly). Saban should be looking for the next great QB soon and not mess it up like JJ/Wanny when Marino left and all we had was Fiedler, cause THAT sucked...been painful to watch ever since...

All I know is, the more I think about seeing Daunte air it out to Chambers? Ooooh baby...ya know it COULD be the second coming of Culpepper/Moss...THAT is what excites me about this...providing Daunte is healthy of course...

I read on other threads that its a 2nd rounder in 2007. That would even be better.

I agree with you. Dante is more the Prototype QB he will be able to see over our line at 6-4 as opposed to the 6-0 brees and the size and weight to hold his own when others are trying to tackle him. stonger arm (which by the way with the receivers we have we needed a QB that could throw the deep ball) and fairly accurate. The 2 downsides I see are obviously the knee and hopefully at worse nothing a knee brace cant stabilize and his fumble numbers but maybe with a better line that can be reduced. I happy about the move but guess just disappointed that an opportunity to just play for our organization was not enough of a lure for Brees. In the end it all DID boil down to the money so perhaps there was more to it than Brees led us to believe-like perhaps it was best that he just grabbed the money and ran.

I love the move. A year ago this man was untouchable. History is that it took a 1 st and a conditional pick (that turned into a first) for Ricky Williams in 2002. Ricky was a RB, a much easier position to replace, who had yet to become an elite player in the league (even though he was surely an elite talent).
A quarterback as talented and proven as Daunte Culpepper is untouchable, no package acquires this player a year ago. Things obviously change and they clearly did here, but to say a 2007 2nd rd pick for a 29 year-old All-Pro player at the most important position sports is a waste (as some are saying) is a total joke. The guy can make all the throws, moves well even though not with explosive change of direction skills in short areas even before the injury.
The biggest question and only question people can have, relative to whether or not this is a good football move, IMO is this: Bill Belichick is in the same division now, a man who has tormented talented QBs who he determines struggle to make decsions and whose recognization skills are questioned (see Jim Kelly, Drew Bledsoe, etc). I havent seem enough all-22 tape to determine if that criticism of Daunte is accurate, but if it is I can see it as a reason for concern. Otherwise this is a coup.

Fin fans stop being so Damn Negative

The Fins have a Great QB
remember the days of Jay,Aj,and GUs are gone Damn

lets all be Happy

No doubt, I'm happy.

Imagine what MULARKEY can do with Daunte, considering he made chicken salad out of chicken poop in KORDELL.

Daunte WILL do very well in Miami.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Good deal
Dam i cant beleive we got one of the best QB's in the game.

Thank you Saban you have brought back excitement to the Dolphins organization. Something that was missing for years with the old regime.

First of all I want to say that im so happy to finally sign a QB, and especially Culpepper, I think he is great, without any doubt he is atleast better than Frerrote and Fiedler, but..... Does anybody remember that sex scandal he was involved with? It was him and a couple of teammates on some boat, I was just wondering if anything ever happened with that, I mean all we need is to sign this guy and then find him in some trouble with the law, I'm sure the Dolphins have looked into it but does anyone know what's going on with that?

Shame we havnt got Linehan here anymore but im happy with Culpepper!!! Weve had nothing since Backups since Dan retired. The guy is proven, do you guys hear that? PROVEN! Lets all be happy. What were our other options? Brees or Culpepper and we got Culpepper. 2nd round pick as well! Feeley guys Feeley! The guy wants to come back to his home state. Now if we can get TO. hmmmmmmm.

Anoter thing in the realm of reality....

QB is not easy to fill in the draft... you can never tell about cutler, matt, whomever

think leaf... think whomever you want to and all you can really say is good luck

We just signed a proven veteran who is 29 years old.........

2 years ago he was untouchable.......without moss playing many games....now were worried about a 2nd round pick......come on

LETS GO PHINS!!!!

I AM SO PUMPED

I heard that all charges were going to be misdemeanors, which probably means nothing worse than a fine and possibly some community service.
