Regardless of what we think, the franchise has invested too much in Tannehill to pull the plug just yet....so unless someone better miraculously falls in our lap, he's going to go thru one more HC/OC combo.

But unless they get a real QB whisperer who can work wonders, I'm afraid the results aren't going to be much different.

I would not be certain of that. A new staff may come in and evaluate everything. If they consider the QB position at face value, without attaching issues that have nothing to do with merit, there is a very slim chance Tannehill starts next season.

Who would start then?

Sean Payton would likely want a real QB to work with. The last thing he would want to do is tarnish his legacy by failing in Miami by starting Tannehill at QB.

I can't see a new coach ditching RT unless he comes with his choice QB

if for no other reason than...

If RT then succeeds on his new team, T-Bomb would basically have signed his dismissal with Ross.

Of course, in a perfect world T-bomb would be released and Campbell would be hired. :)

Tannehill is the starting qb next year and thats definite. You dont pay a guy that money and then cut him the next season...u dont pay backups that kind of money. Anyone who thinks tannehills not starting next year youre truly delusional.

I'd like to see him with a competent OLine.. Damn it why can't they get him one??!!!!

We need a flexible offensive system and a QB that can run it. I don't know if Tannehill is the guy but I'd say he's going to get his chance whether he is or not. I'm fine with that.

Problem is we have 2 division opponents that build defenses to try and stop Tom Brady, and the other opponent is coached by some guy named Bill Belichick. A simple offense or one built on a basic premise (like Lazor's scheme which involves getting yards after the catch) isn't going to cut it.

I just want an offense that is adaptable and isn't tied down by an OC trying to jam his square-peg offensive philosophy into a round hole. Whether Tannehill can run it or not is up to him.

Yeah hes the starter in 2016 but two plays by the qb really hurt us today and he has to own them...bait job and a bad sack down 10

He needs to get better. Never the reason the team wins. Get better!

So who would take that job and be fired?

Its only a matter of time with him unless someone can prove that this team can play better with a different QB on the field. We heard all the excuses for Henne until it was finally borne out that another QB really good make this team better. I've been desperately hoping for a chance to see a different QB play for the Dolphins for 4 years. It never happens.

God knows how long Henne would have gotten had he not gotten injured. And I'm sure some here would have blindly supported him just like they did even after Moore started doing well.

One more year maybe. Matt Moore won't be backing him up though he was kept so no one could challenge Tannehill that will change.
