Let's check your work

I like the Daniels signing for a start and see Borom as a move player at G or a cut. Brown contributes, as does the big receiver, the two safeties compete to start with Melifouwu the favorite and Davis on ST's. The RB if he makes it is a short yard guy. Bell and Dotson are smart, cheap re-signs, Britt might stick because we still need bodies to play ST's and backup. It would have been nice to get another potential starter at Guard though. We could not be big players because of $$$. I see mostly budget signings.

If Teven Jenkins signs for anywhere near what Miami is eventually revealed to be paying Eichenberg, I will strongly disagree.

I'll send you a bar of soap and you will be able to wash away your tears.
Are you allergic to "Lye" soap? - LOL

I just thought I would "squeeze" that one in. - LOL

Crazy how you don't have a front office job. Bet you've never made a bad mock draft pick in your life
Funny how just one of my most obvious picks would have been a multiple time mvp and would have made me achieve more than Chris Grier ever has, with just one pick. It is one thing to question my abilities, it is another thing to defend Chris Grier's negligence. You are on the wrong side of history.

Mach... you were right.

They can't stay on task.
You put in made up arbitrary rules like you have to outbid the signing team by 20% on top of rules requiring deep research that you won't do yourself like "doesn't have a coach from a team they were on previously".

I know the concept is hard, but Grier doesn't get a pass for making dumb decision in the past that have hamstrung him today.

Get your emotions together and stop whining because people on a forum don't want to adhere to your very narrow definitions.

Fever you know I love you dude but at some point you just look at whatever this franchise is doing and have to assume it’s wrong. Decades of just having that beaten into our heads, hard to blame folks.
I'll leave this here to help prove your point.

which has been long enough imo. No GM on another team would still have a job if they had not produced a playoff win in 7 years.....Ross is the only owner who rewards bad results
If anyone is interested.....

Current GM tenures.....

This year isn’t the problem. The problem is trading for overpriced vets like Tyreek and Chubb, giving up high draft picks. The problem is drafting guys like Igbinoghene and Eichenberg instead of Jonathan Taylor and Creed Humphrey. The problem is giving Tua over 50 million per year when he can’t stay healthy. Those are the issues.

so 7 GM's have been with their teams longer than Grier and 6 of them have won the SB at least one and the other one went to the SB all while we haven’t won a playoff game

You just don't get the salary cap... do you?

Carman makes vet minimum. This means only a rookie could make less... and not much less.

No, these tiny signings are absolutely meaningless. Restructuring could clear way, way more.
Yeah, they could have restructured contracts and pushed the can down the road but you can not escape the fact that Grier and the FO DID make some serious adjustments to big contracts in order to shore up the biggest weaknesses of this team- the trenches.

That is the issue and the problem is the Grier took those resources and wasted them, for the most part. Again, don't sign 7 crappy players when you can sign 3 good ones. If you're worried about depth, clear out more cap space and use your 10 draft picks for depth- players that at least have a chance to be better than Eich, Borom, P Brown, Ashtyn Davis, Artie Burns, Zach Wilson, Melifonwu and Dee Eskridge. The value of those contracts is north of $20 mil and I think they could have gotten Zeitler, Hand and Blackmon for that money. Clear out more for a vet backup QB and you have a successful offseason and a chance to draft the BPA in this draft.

Grier has also has telegraphed the fact that he's not serious about improving the trenches with a series of signings that fiddle around in the margins instead of addressing the glaring needs of this team.

Exactly. A GM should not only evaluated by the players he selected but also the players he passed on.

Hindsight is absolutely in affect when evaluating the GM position.

Problem is Kebo no one does it professionally
