The Jets went from 4-12 in 2005 to 10-6 in 2006. How did they do this? Well lets see, they did something last year that we NEED to do this year. They drafted 2 offensive linemen in their first 2 picks. I'm not saying we need to do just that but 2 of our first 3 picks should be O-Line.
It is amazing how much better a team is when a running back has room to run and a quarterback has time to throw. Even last year with the Jets, there was a marked improvement and they could be scary this year with those two first round picks having a year's worth of experience under their belt.
The offensive line is an issue of desperate need. We can worry about getting that burner for a WR next year or that depth at linebacker or that lights out ball hawk of a safety. If we don't give the offense a chance we simply will copy what we have done the last few years.
I think Ronnie Brown could be an above average runner, he just needs some lanes to open up through an effective passing game and a legitimate offensive line!
