play Sage-then we can have AJ and Jay healthy for Wannstedt's next team
Stop! Please stop! Don't say that! Are you trying to give me an aneurysm? Never, ever say "Wannstedt's next term" again, please. I beg of you!

The way the OL is playing it wouldnt surprise me if all three quarterbacks will be playing because of injuries.

No matter what people say about fiedler, no matter how bad his arm is, no matter how big his ears are, no matter what his sexual preferance is, HE WON US GAMES! Thats what matters to me.

The sad thing is that it probably doesn't matter. Right now Jay is still the better QB but we all know his limitations. Feeley...we all know he still sucks and will continue to do so for a while. All of you guys are voting AJ because you think maybe he can be the team's future, but i haven't seen anything to this point that shows he ever will get there. The game has evolved to the point where most of the successful QB have to be very mobile and athletic, Vick, Mc Nabb & Nair, Daunte, Montana, Young, Elway, etc. Do i need to list the not so mobile QB's? As much as i loved Marino's game, i've always felt that if only he could scramble just a little faster than grandpa can, esp. in the later years, just maybe...

In due time, we will trade away more top draft picks to get a veteran QB. Who, i have no idea. Successful in Miami? I hope. For this year i'm just gonna try to enjoy the games by watching Zach continue to work his miracles play after play.

I still believe we gave up on Griese way too quick. But my vote went to AJ because Fiedler had his chances.

So for most of us we finally got what we wished for.Someone to replace Jay who has done an adequate job for us the last few years but who didnt convince us he could get us to the next level.

AJs first start was not impressive. He was lucky not to get 6 interceptions in the game and he seemed befuddled at times to the point where at least one of his teammates started to yell at him.

So I am wondering.Who should be starting at the QB position and Why.?
Don't fool yourself, this year its much more about the O-line than the Quarterback.

Jay was pathetic in the first half of game one, Joe Montana would be bad behind this line.

AJ needs the experience and he is much more of a playmaker than Jay.

So long as our oline sucks, it doesn't make much difference. Assuming Wade Smith being benched will make a major improvement, I'd pick AJ. I don't think our line will ever be right this year though. IMO, Jay makes better decisions, but AJ has the better arm. Jay is more mentally prepared for the pressure that defenses will be giving our QB this year. Assuming that the line doesn't improve, you only use AJ if you're throwing in the towel for the season, in order to get him some experience for the future of this team.

I think you have to take into consideration the teams chances of turning this thing around THIS year, when making the decision of who to start. Nobody knows what this line will be like in 5-6 weeks. More than likely, they won't be much better.

It should be Aj because his performance behind NO oline with Gordon was about an average game for Jay with decent protection and weed boy behind him.
Give AJ some protection and he will be a big improvement

I voted for Jay. My logic for doing this is that anyway you look at it, the line we have now is not going to give AJ any time to throw, therefore we won't be able to really see what he's got since it's more like throwing him to the wolves. Like Jay or not, he is the more mobile QB and does throw decently when flushed out of the pocket. I think since AJ is still young, and since we are not contending this year, he should be groomed by the veteran Fiedler, until we re-evaluate our line situation. This is just my opinion.

Someone else needs a shot for a few games. If Feely can't manage a W, then we shuold play Jay. Why?? Because he has managed to win over the years, pre-ricky, ****ty o-line and all. I think he could do it again (win some games). But AJ does deserve a shot.

Barring injury, Feeley must go the rest of the way.

i voted for Fiedler but not because he playes better with a weak o-line. but because JAY FIEDLER IS A BETTER QUARTERBACK THEN AJ FEELEY.

are you asking just for this week or the rest of the season ? please clarify.
