Let's get Randle El to be our QB of the future!

he would certainly bring a different element to our offense. But I see the Steelers making an effort to keep him

The steelers aren't going to be able to keep Randle El for a couple of reasons:
1) It is going to be way to expensive, having to compete with Chicago (his hometown) and all the money other teams will offer him.
2) They have other needs, like 11 other free agents to consider.
3) He was only dangerous on Punt Returns and Trick Plays. And Quincy Morgan can take over punt returns and Hines Ward can throw the trick play.
4) He caught 1 touchdown in 2005 regular season and never had a receiving game over 100 yards.
5) Its not worth it.

Thats just my opinion, let me know what you think...

I would love to see him as our #3 but i see some other team forking out some serious money for him.

probably another peerless price or alvin harper in the making

I can see your thinking, but I don't think he'll be a #1 wherever he goes. Mularkey likes to call trick plays, and Randel El would be great for that but if the price is too high maybe Brad Smith/Michael Robinson/Reggie McNeal on the 2nd day would be more cap friendly. I don't think McNeal belongs in the category with Smith and Robinson because he's got the ability to be a Qb, but I think he can be the "next" Randel El if a team wants him to be a wideout. Just to go back a bit, and not like it matters but he was ranked up with Vince Young out of high school but injuries have hurt him.
