I was jus wondering for a moment. We get out of the Luck sweepstakes and we draft some other top Qb in the first round.

Sparano and Ireland get the boot.

If 80% of the players are Dolphins next season and Cowher or Gruden is hired doen't it change the sight. What i've seen so far this season is that the coaching, conditioning, and playcalling are stupid, brainless, so if we have mostly the same players and new coaching staff I guess that alone could give the dolphins 8-10 wins, couldn't it??

What do you think?? or are we really that bad??

to get those type of wins with that amount of the same players

we would need a few things

1) Mental Strength
2) PLaymaking QB
3) Momentum/ Strength of Schedule

These players have all shown signs of tremendous talent, but its inconsistency/ lack of development that has brought us to where we are today, so essentially we're hoping that strong leaders in a new coaching staff, plus a strong leader like Andrew Luck and hopefully eventually Brandon Marshall, we can be lead to winning seasons again

Most of these players were here last year with less experience and a harder schedule and we won 7 games



To me, just getting Andrew Luck would make next year a winning season no matter the record, we could end up 5-11 6-10 7-9 but at least we have a bright future

I agree with what you're saying, cept we also need 2 very big upgrades along the O-Line, and probably a seem busting TE.

Aside from that, I agree.

A top tier QB (There are a handful coming out in the draft IMO, as well as a couple of FA)
A RT and RG
A fast, seem busting TE
Probably a new FS
A new attitude and concept....and we are right in the thick of things.

Miami Dolphins: Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford

Chad Henne has been inconsistent throughout his career and this year has been no different. He looks like a backup quarterback. With him as signal caller, Miami keeps finding ways to lose. By next season, the Dolphins could easily be featuring a new head coach who would look to build around a young signal caller.

Last year, Luck completed an amazing 71 percent of his passes, throwing for 32 touchdowns with only eight interceptions while also running for 453 yards and three scores. Thus far in 2011, he has completed 73 percent of his passes for 1,383 yards with 14 touchdowns and two interceptions. Luck has also run for a touchdown. The schedule of defenses Stanford faces this year is very manageable, so he should compile a stack of dominant tapes for NFL general managers.


Adding to Luck's impressive resume is the coaching he received from Jim Harbaugh. The 6-foot-4, 235-pounder has mastered a pro-style system. He loves football, and is not chasing money as his prime motivator. There is little doubt that Luck will prove to a coaching staff and ownership that he is worthy of the first pick.

Good defensive line play makes LBs and DBs look good. Good Offensive Line play make all the skill positions look good. Our biggest problem is we are not winning in the trenches. I believe we fix the lines we have a playoff contender. I don't care who is throwing.

I'm usually the optimist in a bad season. I even thought that we were better than our 1-15 record that one year. This year I just know we suck.
