you guys gotta chill on the playoff talk unless we get to 8-6. Even if we win today there is really no sense bringing it up unless we are on our way home to play our last two games sitting at 8-6. At that point we will put ourselves back in the drivers seat. If we get to 8-6, I guarentee at that point we will control our own destiny and have 2 home games to win and get in.

Having said that, I never doubted we could win today. I think we can. Im not saying we will, we may get destroyed, but I wouldnt be shocked by any means if we beat a Patriots team that has sucked on the road all year.

And yea I know if we beat them we are only 1 game back and we hold the tiebreaks on their ***. But, folks the reality is last week we BLEW A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY to make this weeks game a golden opportunity by losing to the sorry *** Bills. Which is why I was so ****ing steamed when we lost that game and have been all week. Those are opportunities that solid teams just cant let slip.

So again, we could very well win today, but by no means does that put us in good shape. We wouldve been in real good shape had we won last week. Now this game is do or die and doing still dosent put us in good position. We have to win out. But, we have to try and do it one game at a time.

So please, lay off the playoff talk for now. In 3 weeks if we are at 8-6, then its on. But, the reality is we play a brutal next 3 games and a loss in any of them will finish us. So just try and stay rational if we win today and out of fantasy land. Honestly there are at least 2 more games left on our schedule tougher than todays.(at Tennessee, vs. Pittsburgh)
 
exactly, i laid out all the scenarios in another thread about our playoff chances. someone said that we can still make it if we go 9-7, and i basiclly wrote how we have no shot at it at 9-7.

so yes a win today would be rlly nice, but we shouldnt get giddy or anything till we r at 8-6 at least, and if we lose we shouldnt see another thread about the playoffs till at least november december of 2010.
 
You're wasting your time man....even if we lose today, there will be a dozen or so threads on how we can STILL make the playoffs....
 
I don't expect playoffs for this team even with a win today. too many good teams coming up, too few playmakers.
 
Honestly even if we win i dont want to make the playoffs. I hate seeing our beloved dolphins go into the playoffs then get killed in the 1st round. Rather not see them thier and hope for next season.

we all hate seeing our fins lose, but how can u say that? if we made the playoffs, we would be a real dangerous team bc we would have beaten in route to the playoffs 5 real good teams. also, i rather have hope then have no hope at all. i want to see the fins play as many games as possible.

This isnt baseball, or bball or hockey, where most times the more talented team will win bc there r many games to win the series, this is football where its 1 game, and anything can happen in that 1 game. knowone should every say they rather the fins not make it, bc thats just silly. there r so little games in football, and i rlly dont like not seeing the fins play from early jan until early sept, i rather get in as many games as possible.

so lets say they did get blown out, that would suck, but ask yourself, is it rlly better then not playing and having a ''Chance'' at all?
 
Actually I thought about it while I was showering just now and you know what would happen if we win today?............

We would win the next 2 and get to 8-6. It would set up what would seem to be a colassal game in week 17 vs. the Steelers. If we win, we would win the division and knock the Steelers out, leaving Denver and either NE or Baltimore as wildcards. If we lose, it would knock us out and leave NE the division title and the Steelers and Broncos as wildcards........................

But, Houston would come in ice cold, losers of like 4 or 5 and beat us with a FG at the final whistle. :lol: TYPICAL PHINS! Ruin the whole epic, final week battle that would determine like 4 teams fate by losing to a team already out of it and tanking.

In the process, we would score a TD to go up 8 points with like 7 minutes left and Sparano would go for 2 points trying to make it a 10 point game when its a no brainer to kick the extra point.

Yet, 90% of FH would come on here backing him up saying it was smart the way our defense was playing to consider Houston getting a TD and a FG and the 10 point lead would only make it a tie. :lol: Then they would argue Houston didnt get the 2 when they went for it after scoring a TD to get within 2 with 4 minutes left so it didnt matter. :lol: Morons.

Chances are likely that we lose today. Should I expect another week of your threads/posts bashing the coaching staff/players and how this guy needs to go, blah blah blah? My head hurts from last week reading all your threads which basically had the same message. See you at 4:00.
 
Hm, if we win today, we're a perennial playoff team that can beat anyone

If we lose, coaches will be called for firing, people will want certain players cut, people will become fans of new teams, Turner and Clemons will become awfully popular around here

..what else am I missing?

Maybe from others. From me its the same message win or lose. We still need to upgrade at the 3 coaching spots badly. We still need 2 starting WRs and some good LBs. No different.

Good win today, but again, it means nothing unless we get the next 2. Tough road games. We havent been good on the road this year either. So no playoff talk from me till that happens. And we still need to fire Sparano. He tried to kill us again today. Moron.

Todays win just makes last weeks loss sting even more.

WE MAY CATCH A BREAK WITH THE VINCE YOUNG INJURY.
 
Next Weeks Game Is A Must Win Game Just Like Every Other Game. However Next Week If We Lose We R Technically 2 Games Behind The Jags Bc Theyd Hold The Tiebreaker, So Lets Go Kick Some Jags ***. But First Lets Soak This One In For The Next Few Days.

How did he almost kill us again? We got down 14-0 real quick and he kept the team together and they outscored the Pats 22-7. He helped WIN the game today against a team that most people expected to blow us out.

I have to ask you, do you think Mike Smith should be fired in Atlanta? How about John Harbaugh in Baltimore? Those two coaches, along with Sparano both went 11-5 last year and made the playoffs. Sparano and Smith are both 6-6 and Harbaugh is 6-5(which could easily be 6-6 after tomorrow).

Since Miami should give up on a coach that has a 17-11 record, should the Falcons give up on the 17-11 Smith and should the Ravens give up on the 17-10 Harbaugh?
