The defender slings his arm out while getting position on the ball for a pick, a ball that was no longer catchable by Holmes. In the process of moving in to position, his hand hits Holmes' face mask and he pulls it. The defender has every right to the football as well, and if you want a personal foul called, that I could buy, PI, no way. Both players are on the ground when the foul takes place.

The ball was in Holmes hands at the time where his facemask was tugged. He was magically close to a circus catch before the face mask

I know you're used to Dolphins receivers, but usually a ball that hits a player's palms is classified as "catchable".
 
the posts from the fins fans in this thread are a joke. ball in the air, a chance to makew the catch and he yanks his face mask.......thats 100% pass interference. if yo uwere watching the game you woul dhave seen all the bad calls that went against the jets. of course you weren't complaining about them because they were against the jets. stop crying like babies.

painfully obvious you don't know what pass interference is. it doesn't if he didn't mean to do it. lol. and wold you like to explain to me how you define a catchable ball? because the damn ball hit holmes right in the hands. maybe you should start watching competitive knitting because you obviously don't know much about this game.

It was the right call. Good to se an ex Dolphin screw up as opposed to reading about why we should have kept them. Nice job Renaldo Hill.
 
It was the right call, he still even almost made the circus catch.

The Jets received just as many egregious bad calls going against them including a touchdown.
 
it was textbook pass interference on hill its undisputeable

sure it sucks if ur a dolphins fan but it was pi

be mad at renaldo hill not the jets

if it happened to the dolphins you would be happy also

exactly.....the demaryius thomas catch was not a touchdown. he didn't have control with 2 feet in bounds. also the jim leonard personal foul call was a joke....the pass interference call against cromartie was a joke. greene got his helmet ripped off....no call. etc etc. terrible officiating today, and most of it went against the jets. the pass interference on the holmes pass was one call they actually go tright. yeah it was a desperation pass....but sometimes you throw those and hope for a catch or pass interference. i don't care what you say but the jets just had a short week, took a trip across the country into mile high of all places, and came away with a win on a day where it seemed the refs were trying to give the broncos a win. it wasn't a pretty win....but a win is a win and you don't get any extra points for style.
 
The pass was severely underthrown, but undoubtedly catchable. The call on the field was good, it was PI. It's just a shame that Mr. Incompletion gets the first gamewinning drive of his career on almost exclusively penalty yards on a terrible throw on 4th down in a game that they had no business winning.
 
Listen, if I'm watching the dolphins against any team other than the Jets I don't really care who wins as long as it's a good game. If I saw bad calls made against them I would be upset because I enjoy good football & I want to see a competitive game...todays games between the dolphins & the packers & the pats & ravens must have been a great, unfortunately they didn't show them here in NY.
