seems like all of our coaches in the last 10 years are all "defensive minds" . i think with out horrible offense its time to hire someone who specializes in offense.

You know what, I agree.. Even if we still lose with an offensive minded guy, at least it will be more fun to watch! Lets face it, We are all tired of defensive, low-scoring battles.. Even if we dont win, it will be fun to watch some EXCITING OFFENSE for once!

I'd rather lose trying something different then losing the same way we have been for years.

All I know is that we would be in BIG, BIG trouble if we hired Mularkey, Capers, or Bates as our head coach. If you thought Wanny was bad......

Not fricking Mularkey. He perked up when asked about it, Huizenga should perk down. With the questionable playcalling this year being headline news, and also his record in Buffalo, I hope Huizenga sees the light. I'd really rather have Capers and then hire an excellent OC.

Cam Cameron has me intrigued.

Does anyone think Randy Mueller is going to have huge influence in this search? I mean he was a token GM, maybe he becomes a real one now?

need offense

i agree that we need a coach w/ an offensive mindset. if capers sticks around as our defensive coordinator we will be fine but we need to hire an offensive minded head coach. i do not know the names of these 2 men, but i think 2 of the best offensive coordinators have to be the offensive coordinators at san diego and at indinapolis.

Who was the last offensive minded coach to make his new team's offense better by becoming the Head Coach?

Cameron and Caldwell, though Caldwell isnt technically the OC in Indy-hes the assistant coach and QB coach.

I would like to try for offense, but if we can get a guy like Rivera from the Bears we sould seriously consider it. With a good HC things will fall into place no matter which side of the ball he came from.

Brian Schottenheimer please.

And yea, I don't know how you forgot about Sean Payton His'n.

the defense has at least another solid year. Offense is crucial for this team. There is no solid foundation at all on offense. Look at what the Titans did. Look at what the Cowboys did (though they lost 3 of their last 4).

The fins need offensive stability, and a leader, and the fins need it now.

Mangini, Payton, hell you could even say McCarthy in Green Bay.

I would die to get a coach who could do for us what Mangini or Payton is doing for their teams.

Sean Payton. And I think he turned out just fine.

Ken Whisenhunt with a good Free Agency can have an immediate impact like Sean Payton IMO. He can also recruit some of his own from the Steelers to come to Miami [Max Starks maybe?].
