Since it's just a rumor it doesn't say anything. If it says anything about BEck it ays the same about any potential qbs in the draft!

It doesn't really say anything accept we are looking to upgrade the position no matter who we currently have on the roster. It's no secret John Beck will take a couple solid years of practice and game time before we expect him to be exceptional, if he can in fact become exceptional. We all think he has the physical and mental ingredients, but I guess it still matters how you put them together. Hard work helps. A little luck helps a little more.

Look at Romo in Dallas for example. He didn't start to shine until his 4th or 5th year. Most QB's are NOT Dan Marino or Joe Montana or Payton Manning types. The game is way too complicated for someone to be a consistent winner without several good years' experience under their belt.

the McNabb rumor is just that, a rumor. I'm willing to bet there is absolutely no truth to it at all. Parcells wants a "parcell's guy" under center, and in my opinion McNabb and Reid are attached at the hip and one wont leave Philly unless the other does.

I agree totally. Just speculation IMO. Everyone knows our history of burning picks at the QB spot. That is why this is thrown out there.

Why in the world would we trade a pick for a QB again who has his best days behind him.

Don't see a McNabb trade to Miami happening folks!

even if we gave up a 3rd i wouldn't want him, we gave up a what 4th/5th for green and thinking we are getting a deal we get a guy who gets knocked out, why waste a pick at all that will just hurt us again....

Question is . . . how many draft picks do we have to lose before fans realize we need to sit back and develop a QB.

We have lost a 2nd for Feeley, a 2nd for CPep, a 5th for Green, a 5th for Harrington, a 6th for Cleo . . . and this is all within the last 5 years. Imagine if we would have waited on Sage, he looks to be prime to start . . . sometimes its worth the wait . . . give Beck sometime . . . I know we are all very impatient with the QB spot, but we finally spent a first day pick on a guy and want to give up on him already.

Uhm, someone please tell me, is this common sense I smell?!?

If the rumors had any truth, would we even want McNAbb. A few years ago I would have said yes, but now, I don't really think so. Most likely it would be the familiar...he plays good for a few games then gets hurt for the rest of the season, thus Beck plays anyway, and we have wasted more draft picks on yet another past him prime injury prone QB.
