After our loss against the Texans, I thought I was as depressed, discouraged and as angry as a human being could get. How could this have happened? Sports Illustrated picked us to be in the Super Bowl this year and a possible losing season was just simply unthinkable. That all changed on Tuesday when I found out my sister has cancer in one of her lymphnodes. That really set my perspective of reality straight. She's going in for a catscan tomorrow morning to see if it has spread to her other lymphnodes. If it has, the doctor basically said there is nothing they can do for her and she'll just have to wait for death. He did say that it appears to be a slow moving cancer, which is in her favor. If it is just relegated to the one lymphnode, she should be fine after some surgery and chemotherapy. But not knowing until tomorrow or Tuesday is hell.

So after losing to the Jets today, yeah, it sucked. But be sure to come back to reality and be thankful for your loved ones that are still with you.

Ok, I'm off my soapbox now...lol.

GO PHINS!!!

Sorry about your sister but I am still pissed at Miami for coming so close to just miss a field goal at the end of the game.

Me too man, and there's nothing wrong with being pissed off about it. It's just when you get REALLY depressed about sports you have to take a step back and re-evaluuate what is really important in life.

I'm very sorry to hear about your sister. I will pray for good news!

Same, Sports are great and all but there are far more important things to worry about.

I'm sorry to hear it man. My prayers to you, your sister, and your family. I hope everything turns out okay.

Thanks to all you guys for your well wishes about my sister, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. We're an extended family here and that's what makes Finheaven great. We have disagreements and arguments here, but we're all Dolphins fans, no matter whether we're high school students or lawyers.

Hey man, I wish your sister the best. Although I can relate to you in a sort, it was nearly two years ago when my father was diagnosed with cancer. I'm proud to say from then onto now he's went through surgery, chemotherapy, and even a bone marrow transplant, but he is recovering and he looks better than ever. Although I'm fairly young and people may not take me serious for my age, I want you to know that these things are up to your sister. Just make sure you let her know that you're there for her to make this process easier, high morale and good spirit will get her through this. I'll definetly keep her in my prayers man, but remember, nothing is impossible.

Thank you so much! That was a very considerate and insightful post. I will make sure that she always knows that I am there for her no matter what. And I am so glad your father made such an awesome comeback. I really think it's your state of mind and how much of a fighter you are. My sister is one tough cookie and I know she'll beat it. Thanks again man!
