The bot line is Mia has 12 drops in through 3 games which is absolutely insane to say the least (4 drops a game avg wow!!). I guess most people don't realize how enormous that is!
Imagine what Thills stats would be, how are D would be playing, and what our win column would look like if we can do something thats taught at a young age?! I'll tell you one thing we prob wouldn't be having these conversations about our off if we could catch the damn ball period end of story. On deep ball throws as well Hartline, Sims, and Wallace all had perfectly thrown bombs for tds yet we got two drops and wallace couldn't get his feet in, just those 3 throws right there would have added 3 more tds and prob 150 yards. Just saying, but that on Thill right lol??
Additionally please don't give me the old "the balls aren't thrown good" if it hits you in the hands or comes near your reach you catch it plain and simple (esp at that level) they get paid millions for something so fundamental and if I recall we had several drive stalling drops against the chiefs in which we were on our way to get points and on 3rd down Thills throws were right on the money (gibson, hardline, clay) and they all dropped them. That more than likely would have changed the outcome of that game.
Yeah Thill has missed some throws and yeah he needs to see the field a little better but its a new system and early in the season thats gonna happen and it should naturally turn around but the plays are there and again 12 drops is ridiculous!! NO WONDER HE HAS REGRESSED!!!!
Also, this is for the people who are dumb enough to think the whole prob is Thill let me hit you with some common sense.
Cant catch the ball = Stalled drives, loss of momentum, no points and one tired ass Defense!!! (which is exactly what we've seen last three wks)
These are fundamentals that affect the whole team when you don't come thru.
People need to open their eyes!!
Thats all.
