The Jets lost last week. We all know that. They got pounded. But let's face it, they probably won't be that bad two weeks in a row. They turned the ball over, didn't make plays, and weren't able to pull themselves out of the funk the whole game.

This is the NFL, guys. They won't be that bad again. And we don't know for sure that we'll be as good in the passing game this week as we were against the Broncos. We still need to show consistency in the running game, and Ronnie has a sore shoulder. Sammy isn't going to scare anyone on the other side of the ball, and we don't have Ricky.

Don't take this thread the wrong way. I think we have a great shot to pull a win here. And God knows, there's no other team I'd rather see us beat soundly (and no team I love to whoop on in video games) than the a-holes in puke green. I'm just saying that we shouldn't throw this one in the W column yet. The Jets will come to play.

Go Phins!

I make it a point not to be blindly overconfident. I make no predictions but I think it will be a good game. The fact that the Jets lost while making so many big mistakes (like turnovers). That just means that the next week they will be much improved because they likely won't commit the same mistakes. I don't think their offense was as ineffective as the score would have us believe, because pennington's numbers weren't incredibly horrible in the passing category, and a lot of us would like to blame the Jets problems on his shoulder.

you make valid points, but i don't think ANYone here has already chalked up the "w" just yet.... we are all aware, that no matter what the circumstances, this game will be tough.

someone said it best in another thread... even if we were 15-0 and the jets were 0-15, it would STILL be a close game. Thats just how it goes.

Come on, be enthusiastic!

GO FINS!

The problem with the first week is you don't have enough games to know who is good and who is bad. To say the Jets will be better just because they were bad the first week isn't necessarily the case either. They may be that bad and the Dolphins may be that good. We won't know for another 5 or 6 games.

I'm just saying that there is reason to believe this could be an aberration for the Jets. We won't know until tommorow whether or not that is true. I'm just not expecting a team with so many veterans to lose all ability to play, and they have as much chance to win as we do.

exactly. it the fins and jets...you can never predict much with a division rivalry. i mean, how many people actually expected the fins to beat the pats last year?

Sometimes shyt is what shyt is....Like us last year...i never dreamed it would take us almost half a season to win 1 game. I think the Jets are shytty this year...They are not buying into herm Edwards system anymore. Pennington is not 100%, Martin is scared to use steroids this year. It' thier turn to be a shytty team in ou division.

The other thing is that we led the game against Denver 6-3 until their secondary was decimated.

off topic: even with a 24 or so pt. lead i think it says soemthing about this year's Dolphins team / coaching the fact that we had all three time outs remaining by the end of regulated time. the jets will make history by being shut out again for the second consecutive week .... who cares?

i dont think the jets are sh*tty but i do think that theyll take a few games to gel. although the bills started out decent against last weeks texans (which is a lame team name when you thinkdeeply on it) i see the bills as this year's eastern division cellar dwellers

dont worry about us, I don't think any of us expect chad to fumble near 6 times. The Jets and Dolphins always play each other like its January. Ths is almost a must win for the jets they can't drop 2 behind in their division this soon.

i thought we needed more "gelling" then the jets...... but it doesnt look like we needed much time.
