Lets play Omar Kelly's game: 25 FO Mistakes

you are right about saban. too bad he was picking the players. he could have been a successful NFL coach. Rodgers was a huge mistake. he was being considered #1 and most reports had him coming to miami. he should have. once again, u cant pass a POTENTIAL franchise QB when u dont have one. EVER. and u dont take a running back #2 unless his name is barry sanders or adrian peterson

if rodgers was an SEC qb i bet we would have drafted him

Have been a fan since 1985. And the biggest mistake BY FAR, was Culpepper over Brees.
Of course, that wasn't Parcells and Ireland.

no. not even close. the mistake was jamar fletcher over brees, when we already had 3 excellent corners in sam madison, pat surtain, and terrell buckley. what a ridiculous blunder

The overuse of the drive killing Wildcat, the Matt Roth thing. The mishaps with Jason Taylor. The whole Tim Tebow day crap.

all ridiculous, but simply releasing a player that was as productive in our defense as roth had been was a fireable offense. this was PURE EGO. parcells promised the guy a contract and then didnt deliver. Roth had played the end of the previous season with a groin injury, has surgery on it in the offseason and then gets ridiculed by parcells in the media. cant really be to upset with Roth for not wanting to suit up for these guys. to diminish a valuable asset in roth into absolutely nothing and subsequently forcing u to spend a 2nd rounder in his replacement (misi) is the type of ignorant roster management employed under parcells and the reason we have holes in our roster today.

I don't remember reading any reports about Rodgers coming to Miami. I do remember him being pegged #1 overall until Alex Smith had some nice workouts and everyone forgot about him. We were always expected to draft Ronnie.

initially there was alot of speculation rodgers was headed to miami. that miami would take whichever qb fell to us. as the draft approached, it was being speculated that ronnie brown would be the pick.

it wasnt even clear that alex smith was the certain pick for the 49ers up until the end.

again as an organization we failed to address the quarterback position with a potential franchise guy available when we didnt have one on the roster

heres a great reason not to take a quarterback BTW by our own Mike Nolan:

So why did Rodgers drop? Once he wasn’t chosen by the Niners — he played nearby at Cal — and was ignored by a few other teams, a lot of teams didn’t need a quarterback. But why didn’t the Niners’ new coach, Mike Nolan, take him? Gary Peterson of The Contra Costa Times explained recently:
Nolan was no-nonsense, a strong personality who didn’t like to be challenged. He met with both Rodgers and Smith before the draft. He caught a whiff of attitude from Rodgers, and that was that. Smith was chosen based on personality. He is cerebral, introspective, with a distaste for confrontation.

#1.) Parcells getting his friends to run the franchise and not the right people.

#2.) Drafting a franchise LT over a franchise QB. It set us back for years.

Don't get me wrong. I like Jake Long, but with the first pick, you get your franchise QB. Not a linemen.

Tony Sparano...now an obvious bafoon. (And we all thought he was a "salt of the earth" type guy when he sounded like a moron originally...no...he really is just a moron!)
Long over Ryan...
Pat White!
Chad Henne
Phillip "I spend more time on my *** than anyone" Merling
Vontae Davis instead of Matthews (A shutdown corner...only on this site!)
Odrick instead of Dez Bryant (OMFG...do I even have to explain?)
Marshall (an oversized basket-case diva possesion receiver for 2nds...)
Moving up for Edds...
Patrick Turner???
No TE?
McQuistan...beyond description...
Incognito...
Columbo... A tackle who can't pass block
Koa Misi... An OLB that can't rush the QB
John Jerry...A 3rd for a backup project...
Austin Spitler...why the hell is he still here?
Green...he lasted about 2 weeks...
Gerbil Wilson...
Not taking Mallet...sheesh...
Moore is really our backup plan. Really?

Getting Sparano
Drafting Pat White
Signing Marc Colombo
Re-signing Jason Taylor
Putting Carey at RG
Signing Richie Incognito
I love Daniel Thomas, but Ryan Mallett would have been better IMO
Drafting Jason Allen
Not keeping Devin Aromashodu and Derek Hagan...they seem to do well elsewhere.
Not keeping Patrick Cobbs, he made some good plays.
Signing Marc Colombo..
Getting rid of Ricky and Ronnie
Signing Gibril Wilson
Playing Reshad Jones
Signing Marc Colombo
Playing Jake Long when he is obviously still injured. What if he gets injured even more and it ruins his career?
Taking Ronnie Brown in the Top 5 of the draft
Ross saying he sides with Sparano
Ross apparently looking at Jon Gruden
Signing Marc Colombo
Not signing David Garrard who could have upgraded us big time
Releasing Lousaka Polite
Not signing Ahmad Bradshaw
Hiring Parcells
Oh yeah, and one last thing....signing Marc Colombo
