Let's play "who wants to be the Czar?"

Most of what I'm reading is saying Ireland was going to be stripped of all personnel decisions so that has to mean a football Czar structure, where the GM and the coach report to the Czar. Which is not necessarily a bad thing.

That shows me Ross realizes his own shortcomings and is willing to put his ego aside, step back from the football operations and let the football people make the football decisions. It seems to be working like a charm in Denver so why not in Miami?

So let's all share our thoughts. What the hell else do we have to do until the draft? Choose who would be on your dream team and who you think we will actually choose. This should be fun! I'll start...

Cowher- Czar
GM- Dungy
Coach- Gruden 1
Co head/OC- Gruden 2
DC- Rob Ryan

Probable team
Peterson-Czar
GM- Mangini or Pioli
Coach- Philbin
OC- Chud, Kubiak or Mcadoo
DC- Coyle
 
What'd it matter now? Ireland is out. Just because Ireland was going to have his hands tied doesn't mean the new GM will have the same limits.

My vote goes to Jimmy Johnson. Give him the world! Best talent evaluator of all time, that isn't even up for debate.

I agree he knows talent, but is he the czar or the GM?

Czar, he deserves to be treated as a king in order to lure him along with a boatload of money. Complete control without a doubt.

How about we start with, "What the hell is a football Czar?" Is that code for GM? What can they do and not do?

No a football czar is someone that is an intermediary between the owner and the front office. The GM and the head coach report to the czar and the czar reports to the owner. That's how they do it in Denver. Elway is the czar.
