I am not sure of all of the rules regarding coaches and players during the off-season, but if we were to get a new OC before the super bowl, could RT get a copy of a playbook of some sort before practices start up for next year? I just know that RT came into the league with a great knowledge or Sherman's playbook from college, I just wonder how quick he can pick up a new coach's playbook. Thanks for any insight!

From my understanding, theres no rules against players learning a playbook. He can start immediately. Heck, i believe he could even start before the potential OC is hired, though that wouldnt be in the OC's best interest(in case the deal fell through).

Its only with draft picks do things become funny. And even then, when players are brought in for pre-draft interviews they break down plays and go over terminology while testing a players intelligence.
